I got a chicken wrap and it was good. Place was empty when I go there and they took over 20 mins to get my meal prepared. I cant think of how long they might take if there are full.

Had lamb kebabs over salad It was very good. Very flavorful nice portions the only knock some of lamb pieces were a little tough.

The best food in town. I really like their kabob and tikka combo and usually get it multiple times a month. The taste is always consistent which is why I come back every time. The salad will sometimes have way too much dressing but other than that 5/5 for food.

Where to start. Ofcourse the kabobs are a must here but they have almost every staple afghan dish you can imagine. (From mantu, aushak, to banjaan borani) let’s not get started with sides now. They’re all phenomenal. My favorites must be the spinach and potato. The chickpeas are a crowd favorite aswell. They allow you to swap out your salad for a side so keep that in mind too. Personally, I’d purchase the Veggie Platter as it’s a little taste of all the sides. Soak up all that goodness with your bread (naan) baked fresh in the tandoor. If you still have room at the end of your meal give the desserts a try. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Oh and if you’re in a hurry don’t forget the ‘Special of the Day’ it comes out in relatively quick fashion. It’s different and made fresh everyday. Service is great and ask the people in the front any of your questions. They’ll be sure to lead you in the right direction. Will be one of your best meals in town. That I guarantee you. Enjoy!

This is by far best kabob place in all of DMV. The food was clean and authentic. When you come you definently need the chicken kabob combo, best thing on the menu!

Absolutely delicious! The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable; I have dietary restrictions and their recommendations were spot on. The chickpeas were phenomenal.

It’s not super fancy. It is very practical, and I would eat there again. We stopped in the middle of our way back from Baltimore. The food tasted very good. I ate lamb kabob on salad instead of rice. They served it with minty sauce and olive oil mix. Was very good. I would eat there again.

We love this place! They portions are generous, the food is consistently good, and the owners are really friendly and go above and beyond. Our favorite dishes are the combo plates with lamb, beef kofta, and tandoori chicken kebabs. The fries and the pita with the sauces are also amazing. We are regulars!

Maiwand Kabob in Maple Lawn is our favorite Kabob place in Maryland. From the people running the restaurant to the kitchen team, they are professional, courteous and care about the quality of food they prepare. The chicken kabob, naan, rice and chick peas are consistently flavorful and delicious. We eat there often enough that sometimes the bread is underbaked (we like it charred on the edges) but it is always good. Service is great but inflation has increased prices there like everywhere else, but all things being equal the food and experience is a good value with friendly service. Highly recommend.
