Refreshingly original. We came here after a recommendation and enjoyed their matcha drinks. They have freshly made pastries which looked delicious (a little over baked but still good) and they serve coffee from a NC specialty roaster. With their menu offerings, I would have expected them to offer a pour over but their drip coffee was still good. Love the kids play area and welcoming vibe.

cute little cafe! I’ve only been once, but the atmosphere inside is very welcoming, there is plenty of seating and tables, and it faces the main street–you can see when the train passes by! The baristas are so sweet and considerate, and it wasn’t too loud despite the chatter of the customers. Their menu doesn’t advertise their pricing, so I paid a bit more than I wanted on tea, but worth it for the service! Very fun seasonal drinks, and cute decor inside! Loads of free street parking in front of the cafe, and even if you can’t find a spot right in front, there is a ton of parking around town and everything is very walkable.

A lovely space with lots of natural light. Good coffee and friendly workers. A nice place to come and work for a bit or meet a friend.

The only thing is thst sometimes when I’ve been they’ve been so busy that it’s hard to find a seat.

It’s hit or miss. Some days the drinks are delicious and the service is wonderful. The space is adorable and well thought out. The syrup selection is great. Other days the service is horrible (6 workers chatting amongst themselves and on their phones) and the drinks have bubbly, watery, gross foam. One time my hot latte drink was cold (refrigerator temp) and they tired to gaslight me and tell me it wasn’t? It was so weird. Another time I asked to look at their chocolate syrup because my daughter is allergic to dairy and they said it wasn’t safe for her although it very clearly said “vegan” on it. When I pointed it out to them the worker was annoyed. Again, weird interaction.

They have little coffee cups for kids to have their own “lattes”. I love that. It’s an adorable touch

Highest quality of any coffee shop in Moore County and surrounding areas. Service is exceptional and atmosphere is lovely. The owner clearly has a knack for attention to detail and dedication to quality. Pastries are exceptional in taste, texture and presentation. Tried the croissants, almond milk latte, and pumpkin spiced donut- all delicious!

I just moved to the area and have been having a little tour of the Pines area for a good coffee shop and let me tell you…this is it.

If happiness could be brewed, it would taste exactly like the coffee at Maisonette. Smooth, bold, and somehow comforting—like a warm hug from someone who also knows how to pull the perfect espresso shot.

But let’s talk food. I stumbled upon their sausage roll, and honestly, it was so good I almost started a slow clap in the middle of the shop. Flaky pastry, savory filling—it deserves its own fan club.

And then came the birthday cake cookie. I don’t even like sharing cookies, but this one? This is the best birthday cake cookie I’ve ever had in my life. (My husband can vouch for it too) Moist, chewy, with just the right amount of sprinkles—basically, if a party could be baked into a circle, this would be it.

We love this addition to southern pines! Great coffee, great vibes. They use local made syrups and pastries. Even the branding was done locally! We’ve been waiting for a place like this to come to our town and this coffee shop did not disappoint. The seasonal drinks are always our go-to, or a dirty chai!

There aren’t enough wonderful things to say about this cafe. The staff are all amazing, the overall vibe is cozy and chic, and Chef Monica is off the charts with her daily delicacies. So grateful for a beautiful (and delicious) coffee spot in the heart of Southern Pines.
