The most marvelous dining experience in Manhattan—I find myself returning over and over again. Every dish showcases a blend of exciting flavors, drawing from Caribbean and southeast Asian cuisine. The food is as visually stunning and luxurious as the beautifully designed interior. The prix fixe format may seem pricey initially—but is very reasonable when considering the portions are more substantial and the cooking technique more refined than many modern restaurants that have opened in the last years.

Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The service was great (Jonathan was ) and the food was excellent. The restaurant itself is really nice and bonus points for the sofa style seating. The menu is pretty robust and each course has an appropriate amount of food. The Haitian rice and beans served with the main course was a nice touch as well.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. This restaurant offers a thoughtfully crafted prix fixe menu that showcases both creativity and precision. The duck was outstanding—perfectly cooked, rich, and deeply flavorful, with a balance that felt refined rather than heavy. The cod was equally impressive: delicate, fresh, and expertly prepared, allowing the quality of the fish to truly shine. Each course was beautifully presented and timed perfectly, and the overall menu felt cohesive and intentional. Attentive service and an elegant atmosphere elevated the evening, making it ideal for a special occasion or a memorable night out. Highly recommended for those who appreciate fine dining done right.

I would definitely come back to try more food. Lots of seats on a Thursday at lunch, but it got busier closer to 1pm. We asked for a side of fried black eyed peas (which we saw on the menu as part of a different dish) and they were great to snack on.

Excellent service, and delicious food. Great for a meal with friends, or a date.

We had a nice time at Maison Passerelle. The food was good and the kitchen was great about being mindful of my sensitivities and restrictions, but unfortunately I still managed to get ill after the meal and the following day even though they carefully deconstructed most of the dishes we ordered. I dine out frequently and have not had any issues so I think the exotic spices were just too much for me, but it was tasty!

My only complaint was that the waitstaff wasn’t attentive in asking for drink orders or checking in on our table despite the restaurant being empty. We had to ask 3 times for the drink menu and with that it took almost 30 minutes from the first ask until my friend finally received her drink, which weirdly tasted like kombucha. However the martini she ordered earlier was wonderful! I enjoyed a glass of the CHÂTEAU CORBIN. To start we had the WARM PLANTAIN BREAD & BUTTER and the SMOKED BEET SALAD. The CRISPY SKIN OCEAN TROUT was so fresh and tender. Absolutely delicious. The ROASTED FARM CHICKEN was a very generous portion size, juicy, and very flavorful, even without all of the add-ons. The DIRI AK SOS PWA (beans and rice) was comforting and cozy on that chilly evening. It actually had the least amount of spices compared to all the other dishes and was so tasty. The soup that the chef offered at the start was heavenly.
Given my health issues I sadly can’t return for a meal but I would gladly come back for drinks! It’s a shame because the food was delicious.

The space was very nice and the service was as expected for this price point. The menu was PrixFixe and diverse but heavy in the added costs. My appetizer began with risotto which was overly salty and spicy. The sauce had separated upon arriving to the table the added truffles were overpowered by the chicken liver pate emulsion. Entree was pasta with lobster, again overly salty and too much sauce. The oil had separated from the dish resulting in solids and liquids. The pasta was fresh and perfectly finished to al dente. Dessert was a toffee pudding which was both sweet and salty but very good. My guest had the coconut cake with a cream which was incredible. Not sure the hype was worth the $900 bill given the overall quality. For the money I would stick with tried and true NY staples as this restaurant was focused on a corporate and holiday tourist crowd.

Dined recently with a few friends!! Stellar and I’m a picky eater! Portion sizes are family size. The amuse bouche was a small shot of pho with capers and it was delicious! For starters, we went with the plantain bread, cod fritters and beet salad. The cod fritters were a bit salty but not inedible. The smokiness in the beet salad…perfection! For entrees + sides we ordered the roasted chicken, glazed duck, honeynut squash, pickled cabbage and jasmine rice with kidney bean sauce and they were delicious! For dessert, we went with the coconut chiboust and chocolate cremeux. Again, delicious! The spicy peanut butter ice cream was the perfect addition. The cocktail with the coconut flakes is probably the best drink I’ve ever consumed! Please don’t ever take it off the menu!!! So tasty! My only gripe, the seating was a bit cramped for a party of three. Two people must share the bench but the table is small and round. Nevertheless, I will be adding Maison Passerelle to my regular rotation, even if just to grab a drink at the bar.

As others have noted, this place deserves a Michelin star. I got a chance to go for restaurant week lunch and will definitely be coming back for regular dinner service. I was very very surprised by the quality of the dishes on the prix fix menu. The Kuri Squash Veloute was a layered, dreamy, and unique experience that I will be thinking of for a long time. I got the duck confit curry and my mother got the shrimp and sausage gumbo. I didn’t get the chance to try her dish because she ate it so quickly (a rare thing since she is a picky eater) but my duck was perfect. I have had duck so many times at other highly regarded restaurants and this one was a clear winner.

Service was attentive, it is clear to me they’re trying to get a star and I think they’re on the right track. Beautiful experience and looking forward to going again.

Went to Maison Passerelle for my birthday last night as I’m a fan of Gregory Gourdet but couldn’t get out to Portland to try Kann. I will still make plans to try it. I want to note that he was not there the night so I’m not sure if the quality is different when he oversees things.

The service was phenomenal. One of the best experiences we’ve had from any restaurant staff. There was a handwritten card on the table and we got complimentary glasses of champagne at the beginning of our meal and complimentary glasses of kremas after our meal (it was vegan made with coconut that was ambitious and delicious but drinking it was a tad difficult due to its viscosity.

I think they’re trying different things because I’ve seen other reviews note the price of individual items but when we went it was a prix fixe menu that was quite steep. We ended up spending $400 for two people – two prix fixe, one zero proof drink and one negroni.

Prelude:
The amuse bouche was fire. I think it had kombu – it was warm and very flavorful. The plantain bread was phenomenal. I just wish there was more of it since they were both the size a few notches larger than a golf ball and the ratio of butter we were provided for it lacked a bit of sense. We didn’t get the loaf that I saw in other reviews perhaps bc it was complimentary.

Appetizers:
We got the cod fritters and the sweet potato and peanut soup. The soup was five stars – no notes. The cod fritters were absolutely delicious as well – a nice kick but a tad chewy. The chili remoulade it was served with paired nicely.

Mains:
We got the lobster spaghetti and the roasted chicken. The spaghetti is a tougher texture bc it’s a certain style of gluten free – we were warned about this but I didn’t care since I eat gluten free pasta but it is indeed quite thick. The flavor was good and I’m glad I tried but I wouldn’t necessarily order this again.

The chicken was problematic. Half of the meat was dark pink and half of it was white. I think this can happen when the chicken is smoked but when raising this to staff, we were informed that it was roasted and the color was normal. It was one continuous piece of chicken so I’m not sure how that could have happened. I will let you judge (see pic). They are actually not yet graded from the city and I noticed a violation about cooking food items to internal temperature. Something to be mindful of if you are immunocompromised.

These mains were served with sos pwa which I actually found to be quite authentic complete with vast separation in the soup. This was actually one of the best parts of the meal.

Deserts:
The spicy peanut butter ice cream dish was so yummy. Highly recommend and zero notes. The coconut sorbet dish was very yummy as well. I have no qualms and this review is already long so I’m opting for brevity here.

Final thoughts:
The space is absolutely stunning. If you’re looking to dine in a space with wonderful staff, if you wanna feel fancy but in a non-stuffy environment, if it’s a special occasion, if you wanna support GG – try it! Did we think it was overpriced – absolutely but the service does make up for it since my night was still special. If the chicken wasn’t so outwardly questionable, I might have given this four or even five stars but the response to it combined with the violation from December 2025 combined with the price made me dock it a couple.
