My how things change.
I ordered two (2) dishes that contained shrimp. In both dishes, the shrimp were mushy, like the consistency of mashed potatoes. Against my better judgement, I called and advised the quality of the dishes. The woman was apologetic and offered the opportunity to remake the order.
I went in and the woman at the counter, the same that took my order the previous day, was aware of the situation and asked if I wanted another selection (Demeanor was not cordial). I opted for one different dish-both containing shrimp.
I am thoroughly disgusted and completely grossed out as the texture of the shrimp was the same and what is worse is finding shrimp tail, as well as some things I am unable to identify. There was hair that is not my length or texture.
I trusted that MAINLAND would make things right and because of my belief, I am experiencing consequences: I am nauseated and experiencing other discomforts. I really should had left well enough alone and took the loss.
The quality has dropped and I question sanitation and integrity.
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!

I don’t know what happen the food is not what it used to be. Order Shrimp Fried rice is was mushy the Shrimp was not done. Will not be going back ever again. Food is to expensive to be tasting like trash. What happen under new management. Don’t go you will regret it.

The food has changed people. Why? Because it had gone under new ownership, with the name being brought. They also have a new cook. The prices have doubled and have been wisely thought out, so that you might as well purchase the specials and the more costly dishes there.
My shrimp meals now consist of baby shrimp that are dry, unlike before. I think custody service is better than before.
I think this new ownership has been now for under 3yrs to the date of this writing, “8/25” or a little after covid.
Eat and decide where to eat from the heart, not by sight.

This will be my last time buying food from mainland a place I enjoyed coming to get good food but since the business uas been sold they have new cooks and management the prices have went up & the quality of the food has gone down no flavor at all Lisa been gone almost 7 months now and you can tell!

I been coming here for years. This place has changed over the past months. The food has been awful. I think they changed cooks because the taste of the food has changed 100%. I gave it three tries, with three different items. Today topped it off. They gave me the wrong noodles in my Yat and when I called, I was told that the company don’t make the previous noodles anymore. I didn’t believe her, but I wasn’t in the mood for her rudeness today. No more!!!!!!! It’s hard enough trying to ignore the rude rude rude rude rude lady, Lisa, who takes your order and answers the phone, but to have to deal with bad food and her, I’ll pass. Thanks for the pass good years of great food that I did get from them. I’ll make my way down the street to Johnny’s.

You must check your order because the female owner will not give you any missing food. They tie the bag so you would assume your order is correct. I have been going since 2003 but she still said how do I know something was missing. I am NEVER patronizing this establishment.

I used to think Mainland had the best food in the DMV. But today I was very disappointed. The quality of the food has really gone down and the price has sky rocketed. I ordered Shrimp egg fu yun. The shrimp were over cooked and the eggs were hard. The fried rice was also over cooked. I will not be going back

Once again the people who owns these businesses will speak to you in any tone they wish when they do I refuse to go back and give them my money it does not matter what they are selling and it’s just okay food, so when you order for these places and the owner starts to get loud with tell thank any. Because they have to know that they are not the only business in pg county.

I got 3 wings and shrimp fried rice. Basic, right? That food was trash. Went to the bathroom right after I ate it. I will never go back, and I will not recommend anyone to this place. The shrimp were old and soggy, the chicken tasted old. I paid 13 dollars to use the restroom because I threw it way after I ate some and did not feel well after a few bites.

I used to come here a lot a long time ago and I stopped coming because the lady was always rude so I moved back in the area and decided to try them again and when I tell you I will never step foot in this place ever again I mean it I found a foreign object in my food while I was eating .
