Contemporary, family-style eatery serves Chinese dishes, dumplings & hot pots, plus wine.

Heard about this restaurant from friends and finally took the drive out from Fort Lauderdale to try things out, and glad we did. This is likely the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. Soup dumplings are good though a bit large. Skip the pot stickers, but do try items from their special menu (warning, it will be spicy). We enjoyed the scallion pancakes, cucumber salad and bbq pork, which came on a sizzling platter, to our surprise. We’ll be back to sample more dishes and will update this review accordingly.

We love Mainland. We think it’s the only great Chinese around and we live in Plantation. They do deliver so tonight we did delivery and the food arrived hot , fresh and with generous portions. We had sauteed chicken and string beans, black bean chicken, pan fried dumplings, chicken lo mein and chicken fried rice. All delicous!!!

Very impressed with the Peking duck—it was perfectly crispy and flavorful.
I wasn’t a fan of the hot and sour soup or the crispy orange beef, as both were overly sweet for my taste.
Looking forward to returning for the duck and discovering another dish that suits us better.
One of the nicest decors I’ve seen in a Chinese restaurant.

My family, a party of eight, came to eat here for my daughter’s fifteenth birthday on a saturday night at about six thirty pm. We were then given a table in the back and given our waters – this would be the only waters we were given. Though she did come and refill my son’s water 5 times, no one else was given a refill even when we asked. The server was so busy that she rushed us to make our order. She made it known that we were a bother just by her behavior towards us alone.. “you need to get your order in now becuase we are busy and its going to be a long wait for your food”. Even when I went to pay and hand her my card she was irritated with me.. then forgot to give me my card back altogether. We ordered 4 appetizers of which only 1 came out before all of the rest of the food. We ordered about 8 main dishes which all came out sporadically… it was so strange. The food continued to come out 1 dish at a time for about 35-40 minutes. The server was not the one running the food and the girl that was didn’t understand a thing we were asking. The server never once came to check on us until AFTER the last dish was dropped at the table at which time we explained the issue we had with one of the dishes that came out wrong.. the kitchen seemed spiteful and instead of bringing a fresh dish of pan fried noodles, brought a plate of deep fried burnt noodles. And there were no other servers even coming by and walking to even be flagged down. We had to get up and go out from the hidden room to find someone. This was our first and absolute last time eating here. Not to mention the ANTS everywhere back there at the table. When I called and spoke to Tiffany she said “well what do you want then? I cant give you a partial refund I can only give you store credit or meal on the house. If you didn’t like it then dont tip and you should have said something before you left and not paid.” Ma’am… we were already there for way longer than intended due to the service and respectfully I didn’t have time to bring this to your attention until the following day. Keep your on the house dinner and in store credit and give it to some other person that is willing to put up with your restaurant.

This place has a lot of good dishes! I got the general tso’s chicken (basic, I know), and it was very savory and delicious! The spicy dry pot was very spicy and got a lot of meat, fish, and shrimp, and it has some good Mala. Dan-dan noodles were amazing, sweet but not overly sweet, had decent Mala, and had excellent sauce and meat. Although the service was a little off this time, it took extra long for the food to come out.

We were the only ones standing waiting and stood there a while. They took forever to even bring us water and plates and silverware. There were 4 of us and the food came out 1 plate out at a time 20-30 minutes apart. By the time the last one got there food everyone else was done. We had to wave waiters down to get refills on water. Our Martini was horrible. The food was bland and not great. The service was awful. When we finally got our bill they had put stuff on the bill that we ordered and they had run out of. Sorry to say this is our second try and will never return

After giving this restaurant a couple of tries, we have decided not to return. Unfortunately, this might be the worst Szechuan dining experience we’ve had in North America. We sampled many of their well-known dishes, but none stood out or impressed us.
The flavors and quality of the dishes were lacking. The food seemed to cater more to American tastes rather than offering authentic Szechuan flavors. The meat quality was poor, especially in the beef dishes, which were overcooked and heavily coated in corn starch. The fish was just average and mainly drowned in chili oil that lacked any real spice.
Even the vegetable dishes were merely average, failing to offer any memorable taste.
TL;DR: Save yourself the trip and explore other options in the Hollywood/North Miami Beach area for a more authentic and satisfying Chinese/Szechuan food experience.

I recently ordered carryout from Mainland China Bistro, a Chinese restaurant in Coral Springs, FL, and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The ambiance of the place was inviting, even though I was just picking up my order. The Mongolian beef was a standout—flavorful and incredibly tender. The chicken and shrimp lo mein also impressed, with a nice balance of flavors, and the steamed dumplings were simply delicious.
Yong, who helped me with my order, was very nice and even recommended some other dishes to try, which I appreciated. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and this time I plan to dine in to fully enjoy the ambiance and try more of their recommended dishes.

The food is pretty good. It depends on what you order. The Wonton Soup was pretty good, the pancakes were really good, but the chicken was ok. The service was excellent and there are A LOT of options on the menu. I would say that if you have kids, you can share some of the entrees because they are a bit large. Overall, it was a cool place to visit. They do a little celebration with singing if you want to celebrate a birthday. It was overall pretty good and the place is clean. Worth a try.
