Stopped in here for a drink. Very pretty young Lady poured my drink and set it on the bar. Then told me I’m going to have to leave because I have a pup. I told her it’s a service dog. I have all righ federal identification Harness tags ect. Dog goes all over the country with me. including into the hospital. So I asked her for my money back. She refused since she said I already poured it. why server someone a drink that ur going to kick them out in less then 1 minute. She saw the service dog when I walked in. There was 4 or 5 people in there. I didn’t even Drink the drink nor did I touch it. She needs to brush up on her law and actually have a better manners. Been to a lot of different bars in this area and everybody has been so welcoming and kind. Not her. Sad because I tip very will. Her slow night would’ve gone a lot better for her.

Felt very comfortable actually for being a strong antisocial I didn’t feel like I was being judged from a far the service was very polite and even suggested things for the food that was ordered. Food was definitely on point. Id go again, no questions asked!! Thanks maingate for being awesome

Fun place. Hot bartender when DJ is working. Karaoke is fun. Shauna has the right mixture of karaoke And dance music. Knows how to read the crowd.

Honestly I only come to Maingate because it is so close to my house, but it’s kinda awesome. Usually very chill and food is not bad at all. Drink prices are super reasonable with a cost saving happy hour.

If there was less than 1 star I would have rated it just that. For starters, there was 1 bartender on a Friday night which would have been okay since it really wasn’t all that crowded. However, we waited at least 15 minutes for a drink each for the 2 drinks we had at this bar when there was maybe a handful of people even at the actual bar area. The people were super unfriendly. Quite a few bitter older women who made comments to the younger ladies there that were pure hateful and were looking to start a fight. It made sense of why there were not one but two security guards there as clearly it’s prone to fights as one security guard actually told me… When my friend who is 29 years old and had been to this bar on numerous occasions ordered the second drink she was asked by one of the security guards for her drivers license and escorted to outside the back of the bar. The security guard did not mention to us why we were being escorted out. When we got out there I asked if there was a problem and the security guard explained that the bartender said it was a fake ID and he needed to verify whether it was indeed a valid ID. They checked it out and obviously realized there was nothing wrong with us and let us go back inside. We were two ladies in our upper 20s just trying to have a couple drinks and enjoy the company of others. THIS IS NOT A WELCOMING CROWD….I don’t recommend you going to this bar for any kind of socialization as they are all in there own groups and are completely rude. So if you’re looking to enjoy a nice night out just enjoying life (as you should be) try some where else. I’ve never left a bar feeling so awful in my life! 0 stars here…
