Service was fine tho seemed busy at times so we had to flag her down once. However she was awesome and helped out the older folks in our party with everything.
Parking is available, and well marked, but slightly hard to understand where since its around back of the bldg next door on 48.
Will definitely return.
Did return and had the Meatball Smash Sandwich. Super delicious. Service was great so I upped that to 5 stars.
Keep going back since the food is really good. Got a a Hot Honey Hawaiian Flatbread. Very very good!
The service was fast without feeling rushed. We’re lucky to have such a gem so close to home.
Come take a look and enjoy!
I tried the whipped feta appetizer—so creamy and delicious. The torta sandwich was packed with flavor, and the Mac and cheese was the ultimate comfort food. Everything was just perfect.
I also had the Village Shandy draft cocktail, and it was refreshing and tasty.
I loved everything about this place and can’t wait to come back. Definitely give it a try!
My wife, daughter, and I stopped in for lunch on 7/19 just after 1pm.
I had the Meatball Smash, my daughter had the meatball appetizer, and the wife had the Buffy Blue salad.
First the meatballs were not good, the flavor profile was off. I could not taste any Italian sausage, or thyme, and there was a strange almost freezer burnt taste to them. It probably didn’t help that they were still lightly pink in the middle also. The sauce was great, cheese was melted well with a slight browning. The bread with the appetizer was so much better than the ciabatta bun used on my sandwich. It was hard although it wasn’t toasted.
The wife did not enjoy her Buffy Blue salad either. The chicken was cold and dry, not what I would expect from rotisserie chicken. The Buffalo dressing was ok, slightly more on the vinegar sour side.
Price wise was very disappointing over $50 not including tip. For the portions recieved this seems a bit on the steep side. The bag of chips was bigger than the meatball smash sandwhich. $15 for a three meatball appetizer is just expensive for bar food. The competition in Mason that is a full service restaurant, is about 30-35% cheaper for similar menu items.
The decor was pleasantly quirky. The old house has a certain charm, and the layout is cozy. If you don’t want to hear the next labels conversation, this isn’t the place for you.
Service was excellent! Our glasses stayed full, dishes were promptly removed, and we were asked at least twice if we needed anything else. Check was brought when requested. Polite and with a friendly smile.
Not sure I will give it another go simply because there is better food, at better prices, with more choices elsewhere.
The vibe inside is all business while outside is more relaxed and weather dependent off course. Upscale food done really well from a smaller menu of in house smoked meats and homemade sauces. You won’t find a kid’s section but with everything being made there you can create some options.
The apps really shine on the menu and dinner items were delicious. I do wish there was a BURGER. Everyone needs a burger, with the kitchen talent like it is, I’m sure they could kill it.
They have their own brand of wine, served from a can :(, bit still was pretty darn tasty.
We’ll be back.
