Main Streets Market & Café is a beloved Concord staple, and my visit made it easy to understand why. The lively yet welcoming atmosphere, paired with its prime location in the heart of town, created a memorable dining experience from the moment I arrived.

For lunch, I ordered the chicken and waffles alongside a hot apple cider. The chicken was cooked beautifully—crisp on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned exceptionally well. The waffles had a wonderful texture that complemented the savory chicken perfectly. The apple cider added the ideal touch of warmth and comfort, especially on a cold day.

Overall, it was an excellent meal, and I would gladly return.

For Oct. 14- Main Streets Market & Cafe in downtown Concord, located in a quaint colonial-era building, turned out to be a very nice choice for lunch. My visitors from out-of-state wanted to see Minuteman Park and this is where we went after. By the time we arrived the lunch crowd was already gone yet things got off to a very slow start; after a while I was able to get a server’s attention. From there, everything was near perfection. The all-wood interior is augmented with colonial decor and gives you the feeling of stepping back in time. We all started with belly warming Hot Apple Cider. For meals, I had the small-size Main Streets Chili with Corn Bread and an Everything Bagel with Smoked Salmon, while the ladies shared the Main Streets Club on a delicious Multi-Grain with Fries and a bowl of New England Clam Chowder, also with Corn Bread. Everything out of the kitchen was most excellent. Recommended.

A nice cafe in the heart of Concord town. The cafe is quite popular among the locals as they prefer to get food, meals, as well as drinks from this place. There are plenty of seating options, while a lot of nice decor across the cafe. We walked in on a Sunday evening and they were short on staff so it took a while to deliver the large coffee order. Maira served us and did a great job in getting things to the table and serving with minimum delay between order placement and delivery. The coffees, hot chocolate, and matcha were also nice. They also have a decent variety of baked items as well. There is plenty of seating outdoors as well however only staff can assist seating over there. There are few paid parking spots outside the cafe on the main road. Any dietary restrictions can be applied formed to the order taking staff. Cellular and data connections are really bad across the entire area. They except payments by cash as well as card.

Main Streets Market & Cafe is a mandatory stop for the travelers visiting to the Walden Pond.

I believe, this place is meant to make you full, so that you can easily trek to the destination.

I was really happy with the services provided by the cafe considering the fact that it was super crowded on a Fall Saturday morning.

We had a good time and enjoyed the food.

One suggestion for the authorities is to increase the options for vegetarian dishes as I didn’t have much to choose from other than that I will highly recommend this place.

Cozy atmosphere, good for getting together with friends or family. The menu covered lots of options. I had the stuffed acorn squash, it was very tasty. Very attentive staff. Thank you for a great dinner tonight

The Cafe was incredibly busy, but we were lucky and were seated right away. We watched as the experienced servers managed the rush with calm – they’d done this a few times before!
The food was as good as the experience. Meanwhile, the building was full of items and information about Concord!

I loved coming in for a quick brunch with a friend, but my server, Emilly, truly made the experience next-level. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of—service like that is hard to find.

And let’s talk about the food: “The Concord” sandwich is to die for. Seriously. Perfectly made, insanely flavorful, and worth coming back for all by itself.

Between the amazing service, great atmosphere, and unforgettable food, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Very rude waiter that basically threw our food onto the table and barely spoke to us. However, the sandwiches were very good. The lemonade was quite tart but very tasty and refreshing. The tomato-pesto sandwich was served on some of the best cibatta I’ve ever had. I cannot overstate how wonderful the cibatta was. Might be back if only for that bread, albeit via takeout.

Perfect spot for any informal meal! True New England experience in a historic but well maintained spot! My husband and I enjoyed a Sunday brunch there after a great hike.
The food, service, interior, atmosphere were all top notch!
The Butternut squash soup with goat cheese was an unusual but exquisite twist on the all-time Fall NE menu item.
The roasted beet salad with mandarines was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented
Ruben wiry tater tots was great as well.
Our waiter was very courteous and helpful.
We will go there again in the future.

We have mixed feelings concerning this restaurant. First, parking for this location can be a slight challenge since there is no dedicated parking lot for this restaurant, but there is the Concord Town Lot and a few streetside parking slots that are all relatively close by so not a major issue. The restaurant is quite small inside, but we heard they have some sort of outdoor seating along the side of the building, which we did not really pay attention too. We were seated in the corner area to the left once you entered the restaurant and for a party of ten people crowded around a small table it was not an idle situation. The service was a little slow, maybe because there were not enough staff to handle the flow of traffic, which was quite high at the time of our visit. Because of this, it did take some time to not only get waited on but to also receive our food. As for the food, there were mixed reviews depending on what you ordered. In general, the food was alright, and the prices are what you would expect for a restaurant catering primarily to tourists visiting North Bridge. The staff members were alright, but nothing special one way or another, they seemed to have the hands full and not much time to chat with the folks. We would probably not come here again, but there are not many better choices in the center of Concord. We tried, and the two other locations we went to first, were even smaller than this location. Oh, I almost forgot, the dessert options and the pastries, while not healthy in any sense of the word, were fantastic and we enjoyed them most of all. But heck, who doesn’t enjoy a wonderful, tasty dessert.
