I was here last Sunday for the first time and really enjoyed it! The restaurant is so cute and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was great — our waitress was super polite and friendly. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the Fajita, it was so tasty and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be back and will try something else from their interesting menu next time!

I think we’ve just found our new spot! The service was amazing! Very clean! My fiance and I both got a burger. I cannot even explain how juicy and perfectly cooked they were. Best we’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back. 🙂

The place is clean and the staff is nice. The atmosphere is really nice. The prices are a little high. The suggestion I would have for the food at those prices is better presentation. Food didn’t taste bad at all. I ordered smoked chicken Mac and fries which was salty, however it was the very beginning of the day and I may have gotten the top where more seasoning was. Things to consider with an honest review.

Love the look & feel of the brick and wood environment. Service has always been excellent and the food is delicious and they change the menu frequent enough to keep it interesting.

To start, I’ve had many great experiences at this restaurant over the years, the food was always great and the service was always excellent which is why this experience was so weird. After a quick social media search, I saw that it has changed hands since I went last, which explains it.

We went during prime dinner time on a Sunday night before Christmas when every other restaurant we’d looked at was full, and found that the dining room was empty except for us which should’ve been a red flag. The staff seemed tired and kinda distracted even thought we were there at 6pm it’s not like it was super late. When asking the waitress if the turkey sandwich was warm or cold (I wanted to make sure as I’m pregnant and can’t eat cold cut meats) she just blinked at me and just said “I don’t know.” She did go and ask the kitchen when my husband asked her to, however.

Then, we order our entrees and after waiting 45 minutes with no food we asked for our food to go as we had to leave in about 20 minutes and the waitress wasn’t sure when our food would be ready then. By the time we finally got our food (in to go boxes, mind you,) we had spent about 90 minutes total in the restaurant. The waitress was apologetic at this point and said there was nothing she could do as the kitchen was busy with online to go orders. Again, we were the ONLY ONES in the dining room. I remember over a year ago this place would’ve been packed and lively on a night like this. Apparently they prioritize to go orders over the 1 party of 4 in the dining room? And it was strange they were so slammed with these to go orders, yet no one was coming in to pick up these orders while we sat there hungry for over an hour?

The food was alright, we reheated it at home in our to go containers later that evening, so I really can’t speak to the quality of the food served in the dining room as apparently this restaurant doesn’t do that sort of thing anymore. No wonder it was empty in a Sunday night before Christmas!

Safe to say I won’t be coming back. Sounds like this restaurant’s change of hands killed the business.

The overall presentation was surprisingly unexpected. The space was well thought out and well appointed. Server, more than average, friendly, engaging and very willing to converse. Cocktails were just as ordered and free flowing. The menu was a little light on dinner entrees in this reviewers opinion. Although definitely creative. I had a pasta and brisket while my sister had the wrap. My entree was, umm habit weak in flavor and watery in consistency; brisket was hardly detectable. I’m pretty fair in my reviews, although at 34$ for my entree and 188$ for the lot, I would have expected more protein within my entree. I still dropped a 30$ gratuity as the overall experience was nice. I’d return, maybe for breakfast, or a sandwich, definitely drinks as thier bar looked fantastic. Fellows at the bar looked bit rough, but hey we are not in Kansas are we, anyhow Check em out, I did and will again ~ SDM 10/2025

We went to this place for the first time to check it out and really glad we did. Phenomenal food–like the chicken sandwich is bomb. The vibe is great, love the nice little downtown feel in this part of Bristol. Service was stellar, you gotta check it out. In the Great Chicken Sandwich Wars, these guys are currently winning.

This place really is great! First time coming here and it was very full (Friday night). We didn’t have reservations, but our wait wasn’t too long–we did luck out as a table for 4 was just clearing out. The hostess was very pleasant, gave us a wait time, but promptly sat us. Our two waitresses were amazing, gave us attention, but didn’t smother us nor ignore us, definitely a healthy balance!!

Food, what can I say, great choices on the menu. Truly does cater to those with allergies. If there was something you wanted that wasn’t safe, they are willing to accommodate should they be able to! They have the Beyond Burger and Vegan Style BBQ Jackfruit Pulled Pork Sandwich for those who are Vegan; they also carry Gluten Free bread!! My husband ordered the Brussels Sprouts & RJ’s BBQ Brisket Sandwich (because he’s Gluten Free, he could not have the sauce), but it was really great! I had a simple House Salad with Grilled Chicken (sans the croutons and dressing as I am Gluten Free as well). Our friends had the Mac and Cheese and a Caesar Salad with a special request of Buffalo Cauliflower on her salad. All were quite delicious!

Drinks, I only drink wine and the selection was nice. I cannot comment on the beer/cocktails, however I hear great things!!

The atmosphere, as I mentioned in the beginning, was very lively. They had live music playing and it wasn’t obnoxiously loud where you couldn’t hear each other speak.

All in all, I highly recommend this place. It was really wonderful!!

We went at 5:30pm on a Wednesday and it was active but not crowded. Most people were in the bar area. Brussels sprouts were good, crispy with a little sweet. I had the scallops salad and it was really good. My friend had the chicken marsala risotto. Each night is a different flavor risotto as the special. She loved it.

We had a periodic family get-together at The Main Street Pint & Plate on 8/22/18.
It’s in a very nicely remodeled, old brick building in a neighborhood that is quickly improving & gaining status in Bristol.
The interior had partially exposed brick walls and high tin ceiling in a style that is becoming popular in pubs in many towns in Connecticut. Very warm, and appealing, if a bit loud when they’re busy.
Upon entering the bar area, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess, and seated in a separate dining room that is on a level about three steps higher than the bar area, so the noise of the bar didn’t impede our quiet dinner conversation.
Our server came very shortly after to take our drink orders.
The menu is not very extensive, but offers a good number of options plus specials.
A small menu done well is superior to a long one with mediocre offerings.
My sister and my cousin’s hubby ordered the short rib entrée, while my cousin had a bacon cheeseburger and I requested the salmon burger with cheddar cheese & house made dill tartar sauce. onion rings and a side order of mac & cheese.
Both who had the short rib commented on the quality of their meal, tender, good tasting, and cooked as requested.
My salmon burger was extremely good. Very flavorful, and was also quite large.
The dill tartar sauce was ok, but only because I’m not a fan of dill. Perhaps they could offer a more traditional tartar sauce as an option.
The macaroni & cheese was good…..”better than average”, but maybe could have used different, or maybe more kinds of cheese.
When it came time for dessert, I had the cocoanut creme brûlée, and my cousin’s hubby opted for the peach bourbon upside-down cake. Both were declared excellent.
My sister said the coffee was awful. I didn’t have any.
Service was very prompt and timely.
A nice touch was that the chef came to each table to ask patrons how their respective meals were.
I’m guessing we will meet here again for a family dinner, since we all enjoyed the food, service, and ambience.
