What a great place for lunch. Everything is clearly home made. The Meatloaf was amazing and my girlfriend said it “was the best burger shes had in a while”! Madison was really friendly and helped us pick out our meals! Come check this awesome place out!

We popped in around 11 Monday morning after googling nearby places to Rural King. Upon entering Mickey greeted us with a smile and seated us. She also waited on us. She was very helpful and attentive. Made solid suggestions on country fried steak and REAL mashed taters.(no bag taters here thank god) The sweet tea and meals were delicious.

Visited this restaurant twice in two days. The service was wonderful as was the variety and knowledge of gluten free options available. The Tex mex burger was flavorful. The Cobb salad was good and the vegetable beef soup was tasty.
Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner here with some friends after attending a nearby fall event at Cedar Creek. I ordered the meatloaf mashed potatoes and collard greens. All of which were delicious. I actually asked the waitress as to whether she preferred the country fried steak or the meatloaf. And although she said she had not tried either because of the gluten restriction in her diet, she did say that the meatloaf was very popular here
I actually asked the waitress as to whether she preferred the country fried steak or the meatloaf. And although she said she had not tried either because of the gluten restriction in her diet, she did say that the meatloaf was very popular here. After which I promptly ordered the meatloaf and was very satisfied with my decision. The interior has horses on the walls and certainly reminds you of the virginia countryside. Overall, I’d say it’s a great little spot on main street. In front royal of which, the first time I’d ever visited. It was a very strong impression of the whole town overall. If i’m ever in the area, I will be back to try something else or for sure try those collard greens again. Thanks. Mill street restaurant for a wonderful experience with friends! When I think of a local restaurant, you guys will be on my mind.

I love this place, my husband had the ground beef steak with mushroom gravy. He said it was delicious. Mashed potatoes were like home made. I had the Cobb salad, it was so good. Entire meal was like home made. Coconut cream pie was wonderful. The vegetables beef soup was absolutely the best!! Our server was Madison, She was so nice, very efficient and friendly. We would want her to be our server again. The best sweet tea I have ever had. We will be back again and again.

So glad I decided to stop by for breakfast. I was seated as soon as I walked in and was really impressed with the ambiance. It was quiet and everything was really clean. I ordered the French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and coffee. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. I can’t wait to stop in again for lunch or dinner ❤️

Stopped in for lunch while in the area to get a Christmas tree and was quite pleased with our experience. Service and atmosphere are great, food is solid, but far exceeds their quality for the price. We appreciated that they had large tables set up and were easily able to accommodate our party of nine without warning. Overall this place is chock full of small town charm and a kind staff. Worth checking out for lunch or dinner if you are in the area and craving something hearty and comforting.

If you want to treat yourself to a great meal in a cozy and welcoming historic environment in the heart of town, don’t miss the Main St Mill restaurant.

It was the casual recommendation of a friend that caused me to pop by for lunch today, and I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience.

“Down home style“ homemade meatloaf with real mashed potatoes and green beans along with a hearty dark gravy, with the most delightful white and fluffy rolls, I’ve eaten in a very long time put a smile on my face that did not leave me for an hour afterwards.

But don’t take my word for it; pop by and give him a try.

Tell them “Carl” sent you.

I want to say the staff was extremely nice. On the other hand, i ordered a burger and fries and drink for about 20$. And was on McDonalds level and the portion was so small, i thought it was a child’s meal. Very disappointing.

Wonderful food and nice atmosphere! We happened upon this gem traveling from SC to MD. Had the Perfect Pasta (highly recommend!). Great meal of Penne Pasta, grilled Shrimp and Chicken with seasoned veggies and a touch of Marinara Sauce. The Salad was crisp and fresh as well. Hope to pass that way again!
