Cozy, friendly place in a nice little town with a good breakfast selection (I was desperate for an American breakfast, complete with biscuits and gravy!). Prices slightly high (though I suppose that could be said for most places these days) and, though the waitress was very friendly and personable, the service was quite slow, despite very few customers. But we were on vacation and not in a hurry, so it didn’t bother us too much.
We had a lovely conversation with some locals at a nearby table. They were so sweet and friendly, and asked us all about our trip. Later, they left and we carried on at our table a while. Then I asked for the bill and the waitress told me that that family had already paid our bill. I was SO touched! I just burst into tears. People don’t do things like that here in the UK. It was one of the best moments of our trip! This act of kindness and generosity is the epitome of what Americans are, in my opinion.

This is the kind of diner you hope to find in small towns: good, fresh food served by friendly people. It was a quiet evening when I stopped in, but there were still a couple of locals at the lunch counter discussing the news of the day.
I kept it simple with a burger basket and was rewarded with hand-cut french fries and a tasty crispy-edged cheeseburger on a toasted bun. It was perfect.
The authentic vibe, along with their rotating daily specials, will keep you coming back!

Love their chicken fried steak, and anytime I come to Chelsea OK. I always go here for their chicken fried steak and their to die for homemade onion rings, which are great in the airfryer the next day. This place is really great place to eat, with an old time mom and pop feel to the diner. And the food is always good.

This was the first time I visited this little diner and the first time visiting the town due to a job I was doing there. It is a nice friendly diner there. The food was good and the price was not bad for what you get. I do recommend going to it. If I do get to stop back through there again. I will sure be eating here. Also, the sitting area is small inside so don’t expect to come in with big numbers of friends or family at one time. Which is the way I like it.
