We have enjoyed everything we’ve tried!! The atmosphere is nice, the staff is always nice and friendly, as well! The first time we went was for me and my husband’s anniversary last month, and we’ve already gone back!! If you’re looking for the best authentic Jamaican food in St. Louis, look no further than Main Street Diner! It’s worth every penny!

Owners/staff are welcoming and responsive. The restaurant is clean and smells good. My order (biscuit and gravy plate) was well prepared, hot, and tasty. I will say gravy salt could be cut by half. Thickness and seasoning (aside from salt) were perfect. Biscuits, which were foodservice biscuits, most likely already have 500 mg sodium per biscuit. Gravy had nice heat, but salt level was high enough I saved second half for next day. My guess is if I ate whole meal it would’ve been 3000 mg plus of sodium,
Music volume was a bit high for my ears, but I was sitting at counter.
That said, I would return. I offer the above comments to this already successful business only as suggestions to consider. If you are traveling through or want some breakfast in Old Town, I would recommend the Main Street Diner.

Let me tell you. This place is awesome bottled beer, a full bar, beautiful people inside and out. The food is the best in St. Peter’s yeah i said it. If you haven’t been here you are missing out. My order was to go. It was everything i could imagine it to be from real Jamaican women.

Wanted to try Jamaican food and stumbled upon this restaurant in a Reddit thread. Fortunately, it was a Saturday and they were serving the Jamaican menu (I think it’s only available on Fridays and Saturdays). Called to order in advance and drove 30 minutes. And it was so worth it! I got jerk chicken and a beef patty. The jerk chicken was very flavourful and spicy. The flavour was unlike anything I’ve had before, and in a good way. I thought I’d keep some for dinner but I ended up finishing it all for lunch! The beef patty was also very good. They did not skimp on the beef filling at all. Hope to try some of their other dishes soon. Would highly recommend Main Street Diner!

Truly such an incredible atmosphere very clean too I came in for a Togo breakfast order and might I say to watch the staff all be in such a positive light mood was really refreshing this morning I came in for a Togo and they were not only very friendly and patient but the food didn’t take long at all I loved watching them interact with their regulars and treat me the same and the food was amazing portions were actually really great for price I’ll definitely be coming back!

They have some of the best breakfast items. The only thing is I wish they had just a little bit bigger portions for the price. But it’s always delicious every time we go. The last time we went the had Christian music playing in the TV. It was nice, but way too loud. I could barely hear my husband across the table.

Stopped by here randomly while in town. Do not regret it one bit! I had yet to find a breakfast plate that is good enough to finish the whole plate, until Main Street Diner. Loved the food, the atmosphere and not overpriced. Gives you that Hallmark, small town diner vibes! Will definitely come back to try something for lunch/dinner!

Such a GREAT PLACE!! We have now gone to the diner two times for breakfast! Fabulous Food, Amazing Service, Very Clean and Super Cute Dinner Atmosphere …. And really affordable pricing! We can’t wait to go back!! AANNDDD they have a ‘Jamaican Menu, on Friday and Saturday …. AANNDDDD catering too!! Let’s support this small business!
