My husband and I always come here to have breakfast or lunch. We usually have breakfast after dropping the kids off to school. The food and service has always been great. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. I always have pancakes for breakfast and for lunch I always eat the Rueben Rachael. They haven’t failed me yet. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

The look and feel is a small town dinner. You know the food is going to be good. The ladies were friendly and observent. They had a great vibe and made you feel welcome. Breakfast was awesome. Had a skillet and added on a side pancake. The pancake was the same size as the plate and tasted like birthday cake. Cooked to perfection. Golden, slightly crispy around the edges and fluffy in the middle.

Waitress took order for a table that came after us and they got their food before us. Took an hour to be served. Waitess didnt check on us during the wait time at all. We think she left. Wanted to walk out but had beverages to pay for. We are on our lunch break. Restaurant was freezing. Waitress expected a tip, service was horrible. Quicker to respond to review than serve customers, and no apology.

The Uptown Cafe is the best hometown kitchen. Every meal I have had there or ordered for take away has been great. I do not leave a bite for leftovers or anyone else.

This place is great! One of the best omlets I have had in a long time. The patty melt was outstanding as well. As good as any small town café I have visited and I visit them any chance I get! Definitely worth the stop.

Took over an hour for breakfast. 45 minutes for two burnt pancakes cooked in hamburger grease. I think the flap jacks were used to soak the flat top up…. could literally wring the grease out. No coffee or water refill entire time. My eggs were cooked perfectly however, sadly all I was able to consume, the rest was a hard pass.

The food was delicious and home cooked. The vegetable dumpling soup was to die for and their hot beef sandwich is really good too. Just like mom used to make with REAL potatoes and homemade gravy, not a mix made with water.

Just am FYI to everyone! This is no longer Melody’s café. New owners took over about 3-4 months ago. Not impressed with food and staff at all. Expensive and less portions nothing like Melody’s was. Poor place to eat.
