Many years ago I went to the old location for brunch. This was my first time at the new location. It’s really neat!
The food was so good! I loved the Barbie drink. My friends loved what that had, too!
One other thing I liked was how helpful everyone was. We had a waitress but we asked another lady for something, she didn’t act like it was a bother to get it. They all worked well together and it’s always refreshing to see.
We’ve lived in League City for almost 17 years, but somehow never stopped by this beautiful, historic spot on Main Street, even though it’s been open since 2012! Yesterday, we finally had dinner at Main St. Bistro, and we’re so glad we did. The restaurant is full of charm and character, with a cozy, inviting vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and courteous, making us feel right at home. We went with the dishes our waitress recommended, and they did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, well-cooked, and full of flavor.
Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. We can’t wait to come back and bring our children with us next time.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food in a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
My husband ordered the French toast and a plain eggs Benedict. The French toast was ok too -pretty hard to mess up. And the eggs Benedict was the only redeeming item, it tasted pretty good.
What really surprised me was the orange juice. For a place that serves brunch, I’ve never seen OJ this watered down before. It looked pale yellow and tasted like it had been heavily diluted. Very odd and honestly a weird thing to cut corners on.
Service-wise, our waitress seemed extremely busy, so I’m guessing they were short-staffed. Overall, nothing was terrible but nothing stood out either so I wouldn’t personally recommend it.
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate, impress clients, or just enjoy an amazing dining experience, Main Street Bistro is the spot. Huge thanks to their team for helping make our event truly special!
The prices are not unreasonable for the quality, but the lack of service made us feel that the meal was not worth what we paid. And since we had a party of 6, the tip was added automatically.
Our food took just over 30 minutes to arrive. About 20 minutes in, I asked about the delay and was told they were down one cook. I completely understand that staffing issues happen. I just wish we had been told that upfront before ordering, as we were on a limited lunch schedule and would have made a different decision if we had known.
We ordered two entrees, a hamburger with half fries and half onion rings, and shrimp and grits. The onion rings were very good, and the garlic bread was excellent. The burger was fine. The shrimp and grits were fairly bland.
The staff was warm and professional. For those going at lunch, it may be wise to allow extra time in case the kitchen is short staffed.
