Small quaint
Area not big enough for festivals
Yet , waiting was worth it . The food was fresh , simmered and just plain goodness .
The atmosphere there is unique . The backdrop for the outside ice sculpture festivities was funny . We were inadvertently in every picture taken of the unique sculpture in front of the tiny cafe ‘. Photo bombed a few them thought I need the facilities. Of course there was a sign stating to go down a huge flight of stairs . Turn go down so hallway , make a left at the furnace . Oh hell to the no
That just screamed “horror movie to me ! ! ” Lol so I trundged across the tiny towns street to go use their restroom and a no go there . Was told to go outside turn left by the insurance place ( I am not from that area , so may as well been speaking another language to me ! ) , then go down the snow ridden alley to make a right up the hill then to Grandma’s house we go .. oh my lord

As a NEW YORK CITY native this was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life and most expensive. The large general Taos chicken platter was 13 dollars and it comes with a small rice box. It was made nasty like reheated def not fresh no vegetable’s no spices or seasoning then I got an order of chicken wings and they were old nasty reheated and no seasoning as well. They said 14 dollars for 8 wings it was steep but I said ok. Yo it’s not the full wing like I thought it’s 8 pieces of the wing that means flats or drumsticks.
My coworker got sweet and sour chicken he said it taste like ahhh they gave him friend rice that was as light as my white rice saying thats how they fry it. The stuff was mad greasy and they up charged for a shrimp egg roll instead of pork by 1.50. I will never go to this place again and wouldn’t recommend this to a homeless person if they were offering free food this was the biggest rip off of my life and I’ve been robbed before. I will include pictures to show the trash we were served and mind you spend bears 50 dollars for.

This establishment has been a dietary staple in my household for decades. Nothing can compare to the food and atmosphere of the ’90s but nothing ever will!
During the height of the pandemic, the business struggled, as all others, but the food remained consistent.
Recently, the ownership has changed hands, but the food remains fantastic – though the General Tsos isn’t as wonderfully spicy as it was when the older gentleman made it.
I can’t take away from other’s experiences, but I don’t understand all of the negative reviews. I’m sorry to those who weren’t able to have the amazing experiences that I’ve always had.

Scummy business quite a shame cause the foods delicious but menu prices are different from physical and online menus as if they are just charging you what they feel like when you pay absolutely unwilling to reason with you knowing the menus are vastly different then what they plan to charge and if that wasn’t bad enough I was missing items from my order I was still over charged for I will 100% never be coming back despite how delicious the food was

Great Chinese. Great General Tso, chicken & broccoli, and sweet&sour.
You can see them cooking right in front of you when standing at the counter.
Super fast as well. Its almost always 15-20 minutes. It’s all made fresh to order and you will taste that difference.

I ordered chicken and broccoli, but there was hardly any chicken—mostly just broccoli! When I called to ask why I paid $13 for a dish primarily made up of broccoli, the gentleman who answered was extremely rude and raised his voice. This is very poor customer service! Honestly, I would rather drive 25 minutes to the Main Moon at the Johnstown location for better food and better service.

The good: my lunch came out in around 3 minutes, and meat, veg and rice all seemed fresh. The garlic chicken was similar to most Chinese restaurants’, and well seasoned with just a little heat. Even at noon, it was easy to find street parking.
The not so good: very run down interior, dark even on a sunny day. I was the only customer for my entire visit, but no one came to the table even once to check on things. No muzak, and with no other diners it was eerily quiet.

Called my order in. Wasn’t aware there was 2 sizes for lo main noodles. I think the communication/language line was difficult. Excellent food, they didn’t give small amounts!

The food is okay but I would say it’s in the lower end of generic Chinese food. I say that because the spices and seasonings are very bland. I’ve only been there twice but have tasted four different dishes. Maybe I just haven’t found the one they do well yet. If I do I’ll update my review.
