I am very upset. I paid almost $60 for a card to play games and almost all the machines were broken down. Half of the machines were missing the balls to play with. We couldn’t get any food or drinks because the waitresses and bartenders didn’t know what they were doing and the place was a mess, and if you sat down at the tables, you would not get served, the floors were disgusting. The bar was DIRTY! It was so disgusting. The bathrooms were so nasty. The guy Justin at the front counter was rude! when he’s handing my change back, basically threw it in my hand. And walked away he didn’t even speak to me. Another employee apologize for him, but overall everybody working there was really rude. I want my money back. It was a waste of my time, gas and energy. I do not recommend going to main event.

I visited @mymainevent @grandprarielocation tonight and to say the least there is room for improvement. I’m disgusted at what happened, I walk in to see a sign saying “unlimited All day activities for $18.99” so I do that and $35 for video games. It’s me and my son so it comes out to be 98 bucks. We go to the bar relatively busy but not slammed but the place was a disgusting. literally wait 25 min to even be seated, the bartender then makes my son a drink and walks off before i even have a chance to order. Of course one of the pool tables is out of order, they said “it’s broken” , looked fine to me. We decide to go try bowling, it’s an hour and a half wait, we get on the list, move on to video games. The ONLY decent time here. Play the games, and decide to get a refund. The kid behind the counter says there is a special today that was 12.99 so only refunded me 28 dollars. I can’t believe he sat there and lied to me after ringing me up not even 30 min later.. I’m simply appalled. Like i don’t even know what to say to be honest. Besides do better please.

I am writing this despite my doubts about receiving a response, as it appears that since the acquisition of Main Event by Dave and Buster’s, communication has ceased. Nonetheless, I feel compelled to express my frustration with Main Event. The staff at the Knoxville, TN location have been consistently rude and unhelpful.
I have spent an excessive amount of time attempting to get answers regarding loading funds onto a fun card via the app. The employees informed me that they have no control over the app and suggested that I either add funds in-store or refrain from coming altogether. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was disconnected three times.
The app’s persistent malfunction reflects either a significant incompetence within the IT department or a broader lack of concern and commitment to excellence from the company. This issue must be addressed: the app should be either properly maintained or removed from app stores to prevent further inconvenience.
I strongly recommend immediate retraining for the Knoxville staff on customer service and issue resolution. However, the lack of responses to feedback suggests that there may be a systemic issue within the company. I urge the stakeholders to recognize this oversight and take prompt action to improve the company’s direction and operations.

Trying to celebrate my birthday with my friends and decided to purchase the unlimited bands for the day (Jan. 18,2020). We purchased them at 2pm and we never told that there would be a private corporate event that would take over the majority of the facility. We should have been informed that that each area of play are in increments of one hour each and that we would be placed on a waiting list again. Two more guest came in 30 minutes while we were bowling and purchased the unlimited play and they didn’t get a chance to complete one game as we were cut off. When we asked the staff what was going on, this is when we were told about the hour limit. So we decided to go laser tag and there was an 1.5 hour wait and the pool tables were full as well. By this time the private event was about to start. The staff needs to explain how unlimited play is used and inform customers when private events will cause delay time so that we can decide what we want to spend our money. I feel the we were taken advantage of and the staff were not helpful.

On February 23, 2024 at approximately 11:00 am i used the Main Event Website and purchased laser tag for 10 people and 7 game play cards for $209.20. After the transaction it said that a email confirmation was sent to my email. I continued to check my email till approximately 2:00 p.m. and never received the confirmation. I contacted Main Event Grand Prairie and after an hour of waiting and asked about the confirmation. The staff member stated that the reservation showed a temporary hold and that meant the payment did not process. I told them it was showing processing through my account and they told me to check back after a couple more hours. I watched my account and email for the next SEVERAL hours and received a confirmation email around 11:00 pm. I also checked my account and I was charged another $209.20. I tried contacting the location and after 2 hours of trying to get someone on the phone I gave up. On February 24, 2024, we went to the location and I showed them my account where I was charged twice for $209.20 the staff at the location said that one of the charges would fall off and only one would process on Monday. We brought a party of 13 with us and spent around $800 between everyone that day. On Monday February 26, 2024, I checked my account and the charges still showed processing and I was still being charged twice. On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, I checked my account and both charges finished processing and I was double charged. I contacted the Grand Prairie location and spoke to a manager, he stated that he would look into the charge and call me around 2:00 pm. I did not receive a call back and tried calling them back for over an hour with no response. I tried calling the Main event headquarters and could not ever get anyone on the phone. I wish now I would of read the reviews before attempting business with this company.

First time Grandpraire location. Theives behind counter charged $60 for what was said on receipt to be a $50 game card. After that 3 mins later made 2 more transactions on my card in the amount of $40 each. Talked to manager who gave me his personal cell phone number and assurance to handle. Called 3 times no answer. Called locations Front desk no answer. Manager stated because it was a gift card there was probably a hold on it lies! Train your staff young and old to not steal and Managers need to be accountable as well horrible. I have proof and. Will notstop calling till this is resolved!

A group of 8 went to enjoy some drinks at the bar. We were there for a little over 4 hours. My wife and I had a total of 4 drinks a person and a meal. It happened to be a friends birthday and as I try to buy the birthday girl a drink I go up to the bartender to ask for a drink and she responds “ I don’t think we have anymore because y’all drank them all” In a rude tone. I responded “I’m sorry we gave y’all such great business By just paying you $400.00( between 8 customers) but all you had to say was can I get you something else.” I asked to speak to a manager and I explained the way his bartender spoke to me and he did absolutely nothing about the situation and if he did it went unnoticed. During my final words with the manager he agreed to bring me two different drinks but the original bartender that was rude refused to serve them. I had a second talk with the manager and he refused service for no reason. He didn’t know how to handle the situation. Terrible service! I will never go there again or take my family. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They do not know how to handle situations. I still have my receipt that shows the time I opened my tab until I closed my tab and plenty of friends that witnessed the situation.

Where do I begin? We asked four different employees about which areas were available for seating and received four different answers. We then were told it’d be a fifteen minute wait which turned into twenty-five minutes. My burger was cold after being at the table for about five minutes. After speaking with Derrick, the server manager, he informed us that he couldn’t make another one; he couldn’t offer anything else nor could he comp the bill. Ridiculous!! Who pays for something they couldn’t eat? We paid because good ole Derrick, the server manager who was slow to seat us and offered nothing for the poor food…it turns out that he was great at calling the Cobb County police and he did it quicker than he did anything else for us tonight. I’m disappointed in the service, the food, and the lack of empathy. That is the last time I’ll patronize any Main Event location and I’ll advise others to avoid them as well.

Will NOT return regardless of what anyone says! Bought limitless fun passes for 6 people. Come to find out, the only way it would be “unlimited” is if no one was in the building. When we bought the limitless passes, we were NOT told that everything had “time limits”. We waited for 2 hours to bowl, 1 hour for laser tag, and couldn’t get into billiards. Plus, everything included in the limitless passes had limits on “time” for each session…30 min laser tag, 1 hr bowling, etc. Then you had to wait hours between doing them again because there was a “wait list” for each one. Kicker…what they also don’t tell you…after you complete a timed event, you have to get back on the wait lists including re-renting bowling shoes ($$), if you bowl. You’d have to be there for a full day just to even try and get unlimited games on anything. The manager was EXTREMELY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL when we complained. He didn’t want to help, just said “we have other families who want to play too”. We said “well, we’d like our family to play too”. He then said “well that’s why we have an arcade for the time between events”. We said “we’ve already spent over $200 doing that and we’re not spending another $200 wasting time”. Great revenue plan…make it impossible to get what you pay for, but spend as much extra money as possible because the customer can’t get to the events they came into the business for!!!! Money NOT refunded or even offered but the manager sure didn’t have a problem removing the marketing signs about limitless passes after we complained…we watched him do it. By the way Main Event Entertainment…if this type of marketing is to be offered on weekends, then by no means should you allow 1/2 the bowling lanes to be reserved for “private parties” when you absolutely know that you’ll need the space for ALL your guests (especially since all the guests $$ will equal more than a few reserved lanes of people who bring in their own food!!!!). Poor management!! The manager who worked from 3pm – 9pm on Saturday, 1/2/16 should be retrained or fired. Worst management skills I’ve seen in a long time.

If I could give no stars I would had an incredibly terrible experience the other night.
Waited at an hour in line to get in then it was a 4 hour wait to bowl which was fine thought we could go play laser tag, pool , or play games. Laser tag was 3 hour wait, pool the same as well as the bar and every game had at least three people waiting for it. So what was there to do nothing. So we went to get our refund but when asked guy at the register was extremely rude and rolled his eyes then went to get a manager. Once manger came we had at least 7 people with us and he sighed like we did something wrong and mind you we only bought the tickets or what ever they are called not even 15 minutes before. I will not ever go back. They need to make more location in this area or north for less traffic in the place. At the Shenandoah location.
