Delicious. I always get Tofu Chop Suey and noodles with mushrooms and they do it perfectly every time. I’ll have a strong craving for the food from here and it’ll be on my mind all day. When I do go and eat, it’s always satisfying. I literally have nothing but good things to say about this place. The inside is quiet except for the sound of cooking/talking. If ambience is important to you, that’s something to consider. For me, it’s about the food. The quality of the food, the taste, presentation, quantity, and consistency is all perfect. They know my order and automatically start preparing it when I walk in. The people who work here are consise, efficient, and straightforward in providing good food.

Update Sept. 7/25:
We brought our vegans who ordered 4 items and gave their thumbs up.

Spring Rolls (1) $2.50, Deef Fried Tofu w/Peppery Salt $15, Vegetable Fried Rice $13.25 and Spicy Green Beans (no meat) $15.50.
Note: spring rolls contain no mushrooms. DIL, has an allergy and we always have to check as mushrooms are usually present.

Updated June. 28/25:
Return visit to try more items from the menu:
Hot & Sour Soup $12 (S)
Main Choice Chow Mein $18.45 (crispy)
Beef Chop Suey $16.25
Dried Garlic Boneless Pork $17

Our friend ordered the Combination for One #4 and it was a massive plate of food for $16.26 .

The H&S soup was more spicy than sour….everything was very good.
We all brought home leftovers.

Note: there are 2 sites on the website fir online ordering:
Red circled by owner and cheaper
Purple circled by Door Dash

June. 12/25:
We live in ND and we were pretty panicked about finding a replacement since our favourite Cantonese style local restaurant closed.

Located close by in Surrey, Main Choice has been mentioned quite often in our FB community group.
The present owner of 6 years appears to make the deliveries.
Katie our server was super friendly and absolutely accommodating of our preferences (1/2 soya, no soya and no extra MSG), double checking a few times.

As this was our first visit to this no frills (some might say hole-in-the-wall) restaurant we were pleased to see their prices are much better than most chinese restaurants.
We ordered specifically to compare to what we’re used to and happy to say we’ve found our new favourite that’s a short 10 min drive from home.

The Beef Chow Fun is easily close to $30 everywhere else…their price $16.45 was as good as any we’ve had.
Also ordered: Spicy Green Beans $15.50, Special Fried Rice $15.25 and Honey Garlic Spareribs (bone in) $17.75.
No tea charge.
Dishes came quickly one after the other and delicious.

Seems they mostly get take-out and delivery orders.

Located in a strip mall with limited parking.
All forms of payment accepted.

I usually get scared to try Chinese restaurants in different towns and always check reviews and decided on this place. It’s small and quaint however the food was delicious and was served quickly even though take out orders were being taken. I’d definitely go here again.

I started coming here just recently after they had a change in management a couple of years ago.The previous owners provided very tasty food so I thought I would give this restaurant another go.I ordered the combo #4 meal with chicken chow mein and I was very satisfied with the quality and the quantity. The chop suey was very lightly sautéed so the vegetables were very crunchy which is what I like. The sweet and sour pork was reasonably moist and lean.No breaded blobs of fat. There was so much food on the plate that I could barely finish it and even 4 hours later I was still quite full. They refilled my water without me having to ask.I highly recommend Main Choice.

Combo 3 – Chow Mein, Friend Prawn, and Sweet and Sour Pork.

If you want a quality meal for a good price that comes in a big portion, this should be your Main Choice. I loved the texture of the pork, very crispy and paired nicely with the sauce which was more tangy than other restaurants but I like that. Everything wasn’t greasy and greatly satisfied me! 4/5 Dig in

The restaurant is messy and dirty. The almond chicken was good. Chicken chow mein was good. The sweet and sour pork was good. The pork fried rice, wontons and dumplings were disgusting. The pork tasted very barny. The spring rolls were good until I had one that tasted like soap.

Been to this place quite often before they have changed management. After pandemic started, never came or order from this place because their price had increased twice, and their food portion is getting smaller. Ordered dinner for 3 (A) is like dinner for 2 portion.

Today, I went there (after 2 years) to order take out for dinner because I’m not feeling well. You know what? The foods are actually taste very good!!!! Taste is much better than the previous owner foods. I really like it! Hope their food portion, they can make it a little bigger for the price. What I can see now is their food isn’t worth the price.

I will come back again next time, but not as frequent because their foods’ portion are too small for their price. Recommend this place.

Extremely disappointed in the food from here. We ordered the dinner for 3B and most of it was inedible.

The Sweet and Sour pork was more than 50% fat, it should have been labelled Sweet and Sour Pork Fat.

Both the Fried Rice and Chow Mein were extremely salty and difficult to eat. The only item close to edible was the chop suey, but even then the vegetables were undercooked and it was saltier than is pleasant.

Would recommend avoiding if you want to be able to eat your meal.

Terrible. About the driest chicken and pork I’ve ever had. Had sesame chicken, sliced pork, chicken and mushroom noodles, and bbq pork fried rice. Definitely won’t be going back there again. Total waste of money. Should change their name….definitely not “Main Choice”
