This was by far one of the best dinners we’ve ever had and we eat out at nice restaurants a lot. Our server was Miguel he was super attentive, passionate, had wonderful suggestions and generally happy to be working there which says so much about the work environment. Chef Nico prepared an amazing array of dishes from seafood to steak he’s incredibly talented. I’ve added some pictures. This place is really a hidden gem & we plan on making this a regular little spot for us. Definitely put this on your list! Ask for Miguel.

My daughter and I had a lovely dinner here together. We were greeted warmly and taken to our seats quickly. The server explained all of the food options and which ones were good to share as we were not super hungry. We ended up ordering steak frites and mac & cheese. They cooked the meat perfectly medium rare and all of the food was really delicious. The mac & cheese was especially gooey and yummy! Will definitely come back!!

5 stars for Maie Day. Went with my mom while she was in town and it was such a good night. The food and drinks were amazing, and Rachel was the best — super sweet, attentive, and made everything easy and fun. We’ll definitely be back.

We visited Maie Day to celebrate my husband’s birthday after hearing great things about their prime rib brunch and wanted to finally give it a try.

When we arrived, there was a sweet birthday greeting card on the table, which was such a thoughtful touch to start things off. We had originally thought the prime rib was carved tableside (based on what we’d read before), but it actually comes pre-sliced and cooked from the back—which honestly makes sense for sustainability and consistency in the long run.

Our server was friendly, though not the most knowledgeable when it came to menu questions. Instead of checking on the answers, they mostly explained why they didn’t know, which left a few curiosities hanging.

Now for the food — the prime rib was absolutely delicious and hands down one of the best deals in Austin at $19 for a 10oz Wagyu. The cinnamon roll was flavorful with fun caramelized edges, but a bit more dense than we prefer (we’re team light and fluffy brioche). We also added eggs to our order, but they came out a bit after our steaks and sides — so the timing was a little off since we wanted to top everything together.

Toward the end, our check came before we were offered dessert, and only then did our server mention they meant to bring a complimentary birthday sorbet, which was a bit of a miss on the celebration experience.

Overall, we’d definitely come back for that prime rib, but the service and pacing made the visit feel a little less special than we’d hoped for a birthday brunch.

As an event vendor I knew exactly where I wanted to host our annual holiday party…SOCO HOTEL’s Maie Day. IT WAS PERFECT!!! Great ambiance, we loved the room, the food was delish, and the service from Kristina was 5 stars! Kristina was our dedicated server and she was soo accommodating and helpful with our large group, I was so impressed with her skills and being able to oversee our entire group!

Service and drinks were good so if you’re looking for a spot to wind down I’d say yes but the food wasn’t good at all. The burger bun came super soggy and wet so I had to eat it with just one bun, the loaded fries were more like lightly sprinkled and had more cream than anything, the chicken fried steak was completely tasteless and so was the gravy on top the wings had no flavor , was dry and cold lastly the oysters were $5 each and were not worth the price. I’d recommend getting new cooks or at least have someone try to food before they serve it to customers. I’m never the type to go leave a bad review but ive also never been somewhere that every dish I ordered was horrible especially when it’s priced at $70 for a steak , $24 for a hamburger , $14 for fries and $5 per every oyster.

Visited this place on a business trip to Austin, we were walking around the area and decided to stop in – and I am SO glad that we did!
The staff were so kind
The food was really really good
The ceaser dressing was amazing
The portions are large enough to share which I would suggest so that you can try more of their amazing items

And of course the drinks slapped too

Recently had my son’s rehearsal dinner here. It was the most incredible night – the food, ambience, service, drinks – all top notch. Everyone raved all night long about the food – every dish was delicious. The drink rail was an awesome way to enjoy cocktail hour before dinner, and the ambience of the room was perfect. Since the food is served family style, I decided against extra flowers, but the bud vases, votives, place settings and the personalized menus on each plate were the ideal touches and compliments to our simple, unfussy style. The drinks were beautiful and again, the service was outstanding. In addition, I planned this dinner from Alabama over e-mail with Tiffany and had never been on site. She was wonderful, and Maie Day made a special night spectacular! 100% recommend.

Visited Maie Day during happy hour, and stayed for dinner. The grilled oysters were the table favorite, do not miss out on these! For entrées, my favorite was the ribeye cooked to a perfect medium, rare, super tender, and just a delight at every bite! A close runner-up was the chicken fried steak, which the gravy alone was amazing, but was lost a bit when paired with a thickly battered steak.

Dessert was a giant slice of chocolate cake. We knew we ordered it to go and had a couple of bites before we left the restaurant and it was a delicious fresh as well as second day from the fridge.
