Stopped in on the drive home from Chicago, and nothing has changed in the best way. The place is clean and comfortable, and the staff is as kind and gracious as ever.
My husband had his first Cheese Rite and loved it. The meat was seasoned just right, the bun was soft and warm, and the fries came out hot.
We finished with concretes. They are still the perfect end to a meal. I have been coming here for more than thirty years, and it still feels like home. Thank you, Maid Rite Rolla.

Authentic Route 66 restaurant. Burgers are crumbled hamburger, not a patty, but is tasty! Fries are great. They also have roast beef, tenderloin and some other offering. Good variety of soft drinks.

The food isn’t too bad. I really dig the fries. It’s got a really weird vibe. The workers are friendly enough. The one lady I am assuming is the owner does not seem very friendly to the other workers. The shakes are decent when I get the flavor I ordered. Very old fashioned which is fine but it looks like it was partially abandoned at some point. The hours don’t seem to be consistent. As long as your aware of what your getting into when you go in there it’s fine.
Tried to visit again on Feb 5th, 2026. Three workers having a very deep conversation and didn’t even acknowledge that I was there, wasn’t able to order.

I went through the drive through and was met with a smiling young man named Brayden, he was efficient and friendly. He took my order which was spot on and food was delicious. Amazing, friendly hometown service which I admire and what keeps me coming back. Maid-Rite is a hometown staple in this community.

1-23-26!!!Completely shocked and disappointed! I grew up around here and loved coming here, today however was absolutely disappointing. The employees acted as if they hated life and definitely didn’t want to serve anyone. No ice unless you ask and then the young man poured it all over me and the counter. The drinks and the soda machine was gross. I tried every single soda thinking 1 has to be good nope not 1! Burgers were great as normal.

The onion “rings” were great! The burger was interesting, not bad, but I feel like a bigger slice of cheese thay melts down the side to hold it all together and add some moisture would go a long way. The chicken was solid too.
As for service, it seemed like maybe they were having a tough day, but they weren’t rude or anything like that.

We got there 1 minute before opening. We had to wait 15 minutes after opening time before they were actually open. The morning crew was doing what the closing manager should have ensured was done. They spent this time wiping down tables, stocking items, etc. The floor had not been swept, and if it was than it wasn’t well. There was still the previous days food on the the floor around booths. The restrooms were also neglected from the night shift manager, this picture of the restroom trash was taken 20 minutes after opening. If the night crew can’t clean basic areas than what does the kitchen look like ? We still ate here because my wife was praising this place all over the previous day. Well her memories were dashed and I for one will choose another place before this one. Overall, this specific Maid-Rite needs to replace the night manager and give the whole building a deep clean to include the window ledges inside. Recommend? Not until these things happen.

Yes I move my 5 starts to one star. I always stop in town for a maid rite everytime I pass thur. But this time I ask for a small dish so my dog can. Have some water and food. They charge for a maidrite for a cheap ice cream dish. I will never stop here again. The girl in back laugh and ask if I was from around here… this is was one of my favorite spot. I can see charge a 1.00 but 5.0 for a disposable dish is crazy.. with nothing in it. I will never go back.

There is absolutely no way on God’s green Earth that this establishment could possibly have more than 2 stars. It is horrible. The chicken tastes like a word that would get this review removed. The burgers are flakier than my scalp. There are rotten tomatos in the walk-in cooler. This place is not good, do not go here, ever.
