I happen to like these sandwiches. Anytime I drive through Iowa I try and stop at a Maid-Rite. This location had a particularly unique, clean, and fun atmosphere. I ate in.
Food was tasty, staff were friendly and they checked on me to be sure I was satisfied. Bathroom was clean. Was a great experience.

Our food took a while to get there. I believe our kids all enjoyed their food. And my husband too! However, they need to try accomidating more for gluten free people. Because that’s our world right now. I got a bun free sandwhich with all the normal things like lettuce tomatoes onions, pickles. It came with none of that. It was a little bowl with 5 small peices of turkey. Very disappointing. My husband even went and asked for the rest, which they never brought.

Sloppy Joe without the sauce, but pretty good.
Next time we will get the cheese rite probably.
Staff was great and service was fast. Dining room was extremely clean and covid ready.

Awesome staff! It was my first time trying a loose meat sandwich. While I was perplexed at first, it actually was pretty good. Highly recommended to try it at least once! Fun fact a loose meat sandwich is a staple in Waterloo Iowa!

I talked to the lady in charge. Told her about food allergies. They totally didn’t get it. All I asked was nothing with tomato. We talked about ketchup. I’m sorry but I told them not to use ketchup. Crap they added more. Trying to kill my family is not allowed. I talked about this over 8 times. Can’t trust them. Sorry if you have food allergies stay away from this place!!!!
