We love Mai Thai and order take out at least once a month. We honestly haven’t had a bad meal. Pad Thai is always great whether you choose chicken, pork or fried tofu. My husband loves their Singapore noodles. This last few orders though he tried the pho with both chicken and pork. He preferred the pork. The spring rolls, crab rangoon and side fried rice are also amazing. They go above and beyond with the orders, and the staff are always wonderful. One of our favorite restaurants in Oak Harbor!

The pad see ew, pad thai, garlic stir-fry, and potstickers were all excellent! The panang curry (usually a favorite of mine) was actually my least-favorite of the dishes we tried, it had a much less intense flavor than I would normally expect from panang.
This is a “pay for your food first” kind of restaurant, but they still offered a good dining experience (especially for that segment), and even refilled water glasses during the meal.

Fabulous food and fast service! I ordered one of my favorite Thai dishes Pad Kee Mao/Drunken Noodle, my friend had the Swimming Rama and we shared the Crispy Tofu appetizer. The portion sizes were generous. Everyting was hot, fresh, and flavorful with great texture!

This place is really, really good! We were a die-hard Naung Mai household, but when they cut portion sizes almost by half, loaded meals with wayyyy too many carrots and onion (cheap filler) AND increased their prices… we branched out to Mai Thai. Mai Thai has good portion sizes, fair prices, the veggies are always so fresh and perfectly cooked, and they never get meat into our vegan food. The coconut sticky rice is also a fair price and SO SO GOOD. Definitely the best Thai on Whidbey Island.
I’ve also brought my meat-and-seafood-loving family and friends here and they think it is delicious, as well 🙂

This is- by far- the best Asian restaurant on the island that I’ve experienced. Excellent atmosphere, decor, cleanliness and of course, the food! I love the staff here also, it is quite evident that they love their jobs which is so refreshing to find in restaurants these days.
I was a server at a pan-Asian cuisine restaurant on the south end which had the BEST fried rice I’ve ever had. Until I took a bite of Mai Thai’s fried rice, I had forgotten how much better it is than the average fried rice in most Asian restaurants. I live about an hour away from the restaurant, but any time that I am in Oak Harbor I stop and try something new here.
Cannot recommend highly enough!

Pretty decent food but nothing like some reviews claiming it to be the best Thai restaurant in Washington. I definitely agree that the food tastes great but it comes with lots of oil. I really loved the chowmein. One of the best tasting chowmein I ever had. But on the other hand fried rice was pretty average. All starters were tasty but oily. I really liked the panang curry though.

I had the Garlic Stir Fry, which was tasty and hit the spot along with a Thai iced coffee. I got 4/5 spice and it was hardly spicy so I recommend getting 5/5. The service was friendly, you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. The ambience isn’t the best but the restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. Also, the food is very reasonably priced (my meal was 17.68 before tip).

We have now been here three times in a couple weeks. We love the food.
I forgot pictures the second time but did takeout today and the curry stir fry is great. I’ve included some pictures of the restaurant. There are little unexpected things all over but it is not obvious until you start looking. If you like Thai Food this is worth a stop!
We had a friend visiting and everywhere we wanted to go was closed. Then I saw this restaurant and though I have lived here for many years I had never been here.
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back regularly to try their other menu items. I had Kung Pao and my wife had the Basil stir fry. Both were delicious.
If you want to eat inside they have quite a bit of room.
