Went for the happy hour daily. 3-7. Live music, good service. 1/2 price for a good selection of food during this time. Got lucky and had the calamari freshly made one day and it was excellent.
Because the food comes from outside the bar, it does get a bit cold when the weather is cool.
The live music was very good.
Enjoyed the visit.

If you’re looking for a casual spot to unwind, this place is perfect. With live music from local performers, a laid-back vibe, and a small dance floor, you can’t go wrong. Plus, the staff is super friendly and welcoming! The wings and fries are very greasy .the waitress says that how it is. The sandwich and others seems okay.

The staff at this restaurant demonstrated exceptional courtesy and attentiveness. The calamari was freshly prepared and expertly seasoned. The beverages were quite potent, prompting me to order another. The ambiance is vibrant and immaculate, and the restaurant is conveniently situated in close proximity to numerous notable shops and attractions. Additionally, the prices are reasonable and meet all of my dining standards.

We decided on having some cocktails before a late lunch and attending the Lantern Floating Festival. The bar was packed on this Memorial Day at 3pm. We found some seats in the corner. Took a while for the female server to come to our table but the place was hopping so it was all good.
ATMOSPHERE:
Located on the 4th level of Ala Moana Center, Mai Tai Bar is like sitting in someone’s open-air living room, with sofas and coffee tables on the perimeter, cool high-top tables that wrap around the support pillars, regular high-tops, and of course bar seating. The sofa seating is in the style of old Hawaii style, with the big square cushions and wide arm rests, which is retro cool.
Entertainment depends on the date & time. They had basketball playing on the TV and loudspeakers. Yawn.
BEVERAGE:
Stella Artois
Love that they have the option of a pitcher, which is about 3 1/2 glasses.
Mixed Drinks
Avoid, as the few I had were watered down.
FOOD:
Chicken Wings
These were delish! Got it done spicy which wasn’t very spicy at all, meaning it has lots of flavor but doesn’t burn the taste buds off of your tongue which is what I love.
SERVICE:
Once our service started, it never stopped. She took great care of us, constantly checking up and making sure our drinks were filled.
OVERALL:
Atmosphere is great, as long as its not overly-crowded which it can get especially at night.

Had Shina as a server and I don’t want to be dramatic but I’ve lived on the east coast, San Diego, and Japan and she is actually the best server I have had in my life. She is so kind and attentive. I asked if they could put a sports ball game on and immediately it was changed. The live music is so good also

Randomly decided to stop by on a Monday and was greeted by Cienna. She’s always smiling and took my order. Happy hour pupu’s were 50% off. I tried the Margherita flatbread and asked for jalapeños added. The manager Dan dropped the food off himself. Had a great time and the live music was good, some dude at the couch was dancing and some random lady from the bar decided to dance with him. I had beer on draft, a Long Island Iced Tea, and a couple shots of Casamigos. Will be back again!

We enjoyed dinner, happy hour, incredible live music, and the best service we have experienced in Hawaii, since we arrived January 13th. Kaitlyn was very knowledgeable about their menu and drinks, was very efficient, prompt with refills on water even before being asked, friendly, always smiling, and the sweetest disposition and personality throughout our entire evening! We will definitely be returning and can only hope that Kaitlyn will be working! Kudos also to the wonderful artist who was performing! His voice and music were outstanding with nice variety of songs, too! I apologize for not catching his name! Thanks again to you both for a highly enjoyable evening!!!

We just stopped in for appetizers and cocktails to escape the BlackFriday rush. Our group of four arrived right as they opened and felt welcomed immediately. We ordered chicken sliders fish tacos and calamari which were all excellent and my wife truly enjoyed her Mai Tai and relaxed atmosphere

Outstanding atmosphere, exceptional customer service and some great live music. Shina is just the sweetest person I’ve met on island. She was VERY attentive and everything came quicker than expected. The food and drinks were so good, I had a couple of classic MaiTais, the smash burger sliders, and the chicken chinois. They were so good! 10/10 experience, and the bar is on top of a mall. There’s no better place to take a break while shopping.
