We are from Vietnam and this is our go-to place for authentic Vietnamese food in Iowa! We usually get the number 45, the Bun Bo Hue, and I got to say it is very authentic and flavorful. It is served with a huge beef rib and the broth is to die for. The barbecue pork is also very very good. The service is very attentive and friendly. We visit this restaurant about once or twice a week. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing experience. We were only a party of 3, but the restaurant still added a mandatory 18% charge to our bill. This was not optional, so there was no way around paying it. Then, when we paid by card, we were still prompted to leave an additional tip. That felt misleading and inappropriate.

When I asked what the 18% was for, I was told it was basically like tips and used as pay for employees because they do not get paychecks. That explanation is not acceptable. Customers should not be made to feel responsible for directly covering employee wages through forced charges, especially when the food is already expensive.

If this is the restaurant’s policy, it should be stated clearly upfront before people order. Surprising customers at the end of the meal with a mandatory 18% charge, then still asking for more tip, creates a very uncomfortable experience and leaves a bad impression. Restaurants should be honest and transparent about pricing and should not make customers feel pressured into double tipping.

I recently dined here, and it was a good experience. I started with the spring rolls and asked to substitute the meat with tofu—no problem at all. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. For my main, I went with the tofu with mixed vegetables, which came out sizzling hot on a skillet plate. The flavor was fantastic, and it was cooked perfectly.

While the prices are a bit on the high side, the quality of the food and the experience overall made it worth it. Definitely a great spot for delicious, fresh Vietnamese food.

Small eclectic Vietnamese restaurant with good food and a variety of bubble teas. Enjoyed the quiet vibe of the restaurant and lighting. The food was delicious & packed full of authentic flavors. The service was a little rough as it took awhile for someone to come over and talk but hoping it was just because it was lunch time & short staffed. Would definitely recommend it if you are interested in trying Vietnamese flavors, especially different flavors of Pho. The crab Rangoons are an appetizer you must try!

I’ve been coming in recently when I’ve felt down or upset, first time I came in I ordered something I never usually think I’d order. But I’m immediately hooked on it. It makes me feel content and full and it’s such a good price.
The staff here are friendly and the atmosphere feels warming.
Order the number 50. You might enjoy is as much as I do <3

Love the food! Always feel like I’m happy with the price vs. how much I get. Favorite flavor tea is lychee, and favorite bubble tea is taro w boba.

The crispy dumplings and crab rangoons are both great appetizers. Both have excellent texture. I usually get the lemongrass chicken with rice, but this time I got pho and wanted to compare sizes.

The pho (#23) is shown in medium and large for comparison (~1$ difference). The medium is definitely large enough for most though if you don’t want to take leftovers and aren’t very hungry.

Look to spend between 40 to 60$ for two if you get drinks and possibly an appetizer or two with tip and tax unless you split a main.

Ate dinner at this restaurant. Nice place, service was excellent-quick and thorough, and prices were very reasonable. I ordered fried dumplings and fresh spring rolls for appetizers, and the main entree was the combo pho ( beef brisket or round, meatballs, and tendon). The dumplings were excellent with a slight crunch on exterior. Spring rolls were some of the best I’ve had, and the pho was excellent. The peanut hoisen sauce was really good, but upon request they produced fish sauce with red peppers and garlic….perfect. Overall an excellent dining experience and recommended.

Pho Special: good flavors and they actually had tendon in there! Generous portion of noodles, difficult to stir the bowl.

Combo Fried Rice: also good flavors and it tasted sweet? My partner enjoyed the fried rice and he is the fried rice connoisseur.

Our go to pho joint in the area. We haven’t tried many other in CR area though. My yelp review is from 9 years ago but adding one to google. The combo #13 is our favorite. If the tendon is cooked well, it’s tender and gel like – yum! Don’t forget to ask for chili ️ oil if you like some spice.
