First time visiting and I am pleased. I will definitely be returning. The food is great, and the service was top-notch. And for those of you gluten-free, there is plenty you will be able to eat. The cost is around 20 a person, which is reasonable as the food portions are big. It you haven’t been there, give them a try, you will be glad you did.

I wanna start this off by saying how wonderful the owner was to stop and chat with us and ask where we’re from. A coworker and I were here for the week for work. We came in a few nights ago and decided to come again because the food really is THAT GOOD! The barbecue sauces mild and spicy have such a rich smooth flavor to each, the spicy not being overbearing in heat, and having real flavor behind the heat was awesome. The brisket was SMOKED and you could taste it, it was incredible! Tonight we got fried mushrooms and they were perfectly fried, not overly greasy and absolutely bomb. I have had probably the best baked potato I’ve had in years at this place as well. It was also cooked to perfection and the fixings really made it. Topped off dessert with a blackberry cobbler. You can tell the owner is very proud of what he has built (and he should be! ). I come all the way from New England and I’ve traveled all over the country. I can say truly this is some of the best home cooked local bbq I’ve had in quite some time. The atmosphere and service was unmatched. Go to Mahylon’s if you want a satisfied stomach and truly caring service. God bless y’all!

Lunch was excellent. Greeted immediately and grabbed a table. The place was BUSY but our server came right over and brought out the freshest iced tea I’ve had in quite some time. We both ordered steaks that come with fresh salad, baked potato and Oklahoma toast. Be forewarned, no prices are listed for the steaks, as they appear to be market. As the old saying goes, if you have to ask….Everything was excellent as advertised!

Took a suggestion from a coworker who used to live in Muskogee and he said he would come here when he was younger. This place did not disappoint!
The waitresses were spot on and friendly. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks. They were not much selections with regards to appetizers so I ordered fries & onion rings. The onion rings were great however, at $7.59 I’m not exactly sure of the price, but they were exactly what I wanted in an onion ring.
I chose the Two Meat Combo, Turkey & Chopped Brisket w/Potato Salad & Cole Slaw. Both meats were delicious and the Cole Slaw was a true hit! The Potato Salad was also good.
Everyone in the group liked what they got so a big shout out to Mahylon’s for the excellent lunch.
Even I was checking out thy the waitress days she had been working there for 27 years! Then she began to tell me dinner off the highlights on the menu. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try them. Who knows I may just take a day trip up to grab lunch week my wife!
My recommendation is if you are in Muskogee or just passing through and love barbecue this is a must try!!!

AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. Owner stopped by our table multiple times to check on us. Great atmosphere. Beautiful wood restaurant. Food was really good. The sides were super flavorful. Their super spicy BBQ sauce called “The Maniac” was my absolute favorite! Worth the try if you like spicy foods. Carolina Reaper peppers.

Welp, this place strives to make you feel at home, and does a great job at it. Food, atmosphere, and service. You just have to come here, and enjoy it all. Worth the time and money. Our waitress was very comforting, even the owner came around to say hello. We left there full and happy. We’ll definitely be back. We were never left wondering if we’ll get a refill, they asked us if we were enjoying our food, asked if we wanted togo drink’s, I mean what’s next, investment offers (just being funny), I mean it’s not that hard to give customer service, and this place amongst only a few others are winners here. The menu was large, and the food portions were too. The 3 meat combo was a terrific price, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.
I was over halfway through my meal when I noticed I could get a 3rd meat for $1 more. They were gracious enough to bring me a plate of brisket for a buck.
I picked up some of the rub while I was there. I stretched it out about a year with my briskets, but I’ve been out for a few months now.
This place is just about worth the 820 mile flight just for the food. I will definitely be making a detour if I’m even remotely close.

First time trying here. The steak was great, KC Strip. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. If I had to change anything, I would add something to the salad, maybe cucumber, croutons, eggs, but it wasn’t bad. The staff were on point. I will be going back again.
