The only impressive thing about this restaurant is its ambiance — the décor and setup are definitely eye-catching and give the illusion of a fine-dining experience. Unfortunately, that’s where the luxury ends.

The food is extremely overrated and far from what they’re trying to showcase as “premium.” The flavors are mediocre at best, and presentation alone can’t make up for the lack of taste or quality.

What made it worse was the untrained staff — they struggled to pronounce the dishes correctly and had no idea about the ingredients or menu details when asked. For a place that positions itself as upscale, this was very disappointing.

Overall, it’s a one-time visit for the ambiance only — not worth the hype or the price.

Had dinner tonight at Mahesh’s Kitchen. The ambience is modern and clean-lined, with a full bar and a relaxed but elevated vibe.

Ordered: Mango Lassi (excellent, rich and smooth), Avocado Bhel (fresh, crunchy, tangy), Paneer Shashlik (well-grilled paneer with vegetables), Paneer Makhani Curry (creamy tomato gravy classic), Mushroom Masala (well-prepared), Garlic Naan, Lacchedaar Paratha (layered paratha), Butter Roti. Everything was well-paced, the flavours were clean and confident, spice level balanced (I asked for medium). Service was attentive.

If you’re looking for a fine-dine Indian meal in the Houston/Stafford area this is a strong choice. I’ll definitely return.

We went in for an early dinner and as soon as the door opened it smelt amazing. The serving sizes are perfect for family style sharing. We ordered a naan pizza and lamb saagwala. And the garlic naan was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back.

The food was wonderful. Finesse in presentation and atmosphere. Butter curry was rich and flavorful. It would have been nice if they serve with rice, but you have to order it separately.

Family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mahesh’ Kitchen and it was a flavorful journey through the heart of Indian cuisine!! The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between modern aesthetics and traditional Indian decor, comfortable seating, and subtle Indian music in the background created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The staff was courteous and attentive. The highlight, of course, was the food. We tried their buffet and they had a great amount of different dishes. Totally recommend this place!

Amazing food, great vegetarian options, and a lovely atmosphere. Mahesh’s Kitchen (Stafford) serves some of the best Indian food in the area. A huge shoutout to Tanvi for her excellent service—she was attentive, kind, and made fantastic recommendations. The veg Manchurian with gravy (extra spicy) and the paneer shashlik were definitely most delicious. The friendly demeanor elevated our dining experience. Will definitely be back!

We celebrated my cousin’s 25th wedding anniversary at Mahesh’s Kitchen, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every dish was a hit with our family and guests.

The décor was beautifully done and created such a warm, festive atmosphere, making the celebration feel extra special. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the event.

Mahesh’s Kitchen is the perfect place for family celebrations and special occasions. Highly recommend for great food, lovely décor, and memorable experiences!

Great Indian restaurant, new branch in Stafford. I received a warm welcome and friendly service, the food was also good with large portions (many vegetarian choices), think one entree easily serves two. Beers are reasonably priced. Upscale environment (white tablecloths).

This is probably the longest review I’ve ever written and may ever write. Let me start by saying that I am not related to the owners nor am I their friends nor have I ever met them until last night (when they came and sat in the back table for a quiet dinner). So this is not a vanity review in any way shape or form.

Our organization rented the entire space of the new Mahesh’s Kitchen location for our Diwali party. I was a little trepidatious when the location was booked because it’s not like a big party hall or banquet room that we are used to doing our events in. But I went ahead with the group.

First of all, the location was great and perfect for a whole restaurant party. The food bar and appetizers were on one side and the other side was set up perfectly for people to have plenty of space to eat at a table or mingle and have a dance floor.

But the night got better and better. First of all, most of the time you would start off by complimenting the food. But I have to start by complimenting the staff. I am not sure who the manager was but as we were busy running around and trying to get our own items set up in the space, every single staff person was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. If they did not know the answer they would not brush us off to the next person but they would go find out and help us directly. From small things to big things, even in helping us think through the traffic flow, they were perfect the entire night. The bartenders were smiling, The folks doing the chaat station never took a break despite us telling them to, and the food kept flowing. They also had plenty of staff to attend to us so we never had to look around to find someone. Dishes were cleared away very promptly and the place was sparkling the entire night.

Next, onto the main thing which is the food. Maybe it is my pessimism or experience, but usually when we have catered events, I’m used to seeing restaurants skimping on items. The curries will never have enough pieces, the food doesn’t taste as fresh or the spice quantities are not right because they’re making it in bulk. But not last night. I cannot tell you how robust the meal was and every dish was more perfect than the last. They had an appetizer station with samosa chat and papdi dahi chat, where servers customized each dish according to the preference of the patron. The items were fresh and they did not skimp on even the most expensive items like fresh pomegranate seeds or cashews. At the bar, I asked if they could make something virgin and they gave me so many options to choose from. I ended up taking their recommendation to try a virgin lychee mojito and it was the best choice. Dinner was served buffet style in front of their clear glass kitchen. That is so impressive! And a sign of a high accountability team. Everything in the restaurant was clean and fresh.

If there was any negative moment, there was a slight misunderstanding or conversation with the manager at the end of the night about whether we could take home the items that were remaining in the buffet that we had paid for. But that was resolved after some discussion.

All in all, a 10 out of 10. I have to go back and check them out for a regular meal. My biggest problem will be to stop myself from ordering everything because I already had a taste of how awesome it is. It is great to have a new go-to restaurant for these kind of events.
