Best Chicken Korma in Elk Grove that I’ve tried. Recently my family moved to the area and I’ve been craving a good chicken korma. This is the 4th or 5th Indian restaurant we’ve tried and definitely the best flavor so far. We tried the chicken and veggie Korma, the garbanzo bean dish, egg plant dish and okra dish. My family all agreed the flavor was great.

The food is good (not great) and I like that this business is family owned and operated. That said, I recently choked on a bay leaf that was in the rice of a take out order and required emergency medical treatment. It was a truly terrifying experience. I called to let them know what had happened. I thought they might reconsider serving bay leafs or at least be interested in the experience of a repeat customer. Whoever answered the phone didn’t se to care and the manager (owner) never called me back after I left my contact info. I’m disappointed by the response.

I have had both take-out and dine-in experiences here. Ordering for dinner via phone, they will not pick up the phone until 5 p.m. However, the food will be ready when they say it will be ready. For dine-in, they do a great job managing customers’ expectations, and they don’t seem to promise anything that they can’t deliver.

I came for the lunch buffet. Mostly at Indian places I just get the tandoori chicken and the tikka masala. The naan here is nice too and included with the buffet. Fair price considering the cost of food these days.

Since I’ve been eating here for a while, the food has never let me down. Friends of mine that I took there frequently go back. I’ve only used the buffet before. Although occasionally a little slow, the service is generally good and the staff are always courteous. How much service should one expect from a buffet? This restaurant is among the top two that I have eaten at while traveling the world, including Antarctica.
