Nayem and Shakil were our amazing server. So friendly and welcoming.

We were visiting from Singapore and looked for indians and Maharaja came on top in central london.

We were very happy to be here.

From the starters to mains every single bite was full of flavours.

The reccomended dishes were absolutely delish.

We were treated very good from both waiters.

We will be back again and highly recommend

I’m visiting London from the States. I was eager to try some of the local Indian food as I’ve heard it’s some of the best in the world. Maharaja of India did not disappoint! Fluffiest naan ever, and the BEST Saag Paneer of my life! A very welcoming staff and excellent service. Halim and Nayeem were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service! Even my mom who hasn’t been to an Indian restaurant lkked it. I liked the fish tikka starter and butter chicken special the best. I also got chicken masala which was tasty but a bit too sweet for me. It will be good for those who doesn’t like spicy food. Garlic and regular naan were both warm and delicious. Portions are generous as well. Great place to visit if you’re craving some Indian food!

Our server, Nayem, was very kind. Honestly, this place is better than Dishoom. It is more authentic and definitely not a tourist trap like Dishoom is. The flavors and portions were amazing, especially the garlic naan. Loved that you could taste the garlic and it was fluffy! Absolutely, worth it. Note it’s best for smaller groups or solo.

Maharaja of India is an authentic Indian restaurant located at Charing Cross Road

The Mutton Jalfrezi dish I ordered was rich and flavorful, with a thick, satisfying gravy that truly delighted my taste buds. But, the biryani rice was a bit hard and didn’t quite meet my expectations. And the Mutton portion is too small.

The restaurant offers a cozy environment with a warm and inviting atmosphere, though the restroom could use more frequent cleaning.

Nayem, a Bangladeshi staff member, served my food with great politeness and helpfulness. He patiently took my order and explained the different flavor profiles to suit my preferences. Throughout the meal, he also came by to ask if I needed anything, which made the dining experience even more pleasant.

I was in London and decided to try some Indian food. I found this charming little restaurant with an extensive menu that included not only classic Indian dishes but also a few specialties from Iran and Afghanistan. Our server, Nayem, was welcoming and polite. We ordered the lamb biryani, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The food arrived quickly and was perfectly spiced, just as we requested. Everything was absolutely delicious, much better than most Indian food we’ve had in the U.S. The portions were typical for Europe, and the prices were reasonable for what we received. The restaurant was clean and well ventilated unlike many Indian restaurants where you leave smelling funky. Nayem provided excellent service throughout our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and shout out to Nayem. I will definitely return the next time I’m in London.

The food was really great. We have ordered Chicken Vindaloo and Kadai Chicken. Both have a very distinguished taste, very different. Vindaloo was very spicy, as described in the menu, which I had after a long time, made me remember the traditional Indian spicy taste. Kadai Chicken was slightly sweet but less spicy than Vindaloo. Our server Nayeem was really friendly and prompt. He gave us Mango Lassy which was really tasty. I would suggest everyone to come to try traditional Indian cuisines…
