Not worth the price. Had very few items in buffet. Chicken tikka masala was loaded with crushed peanuts to save on cashews. Goat curry was the only good item. Rest of veggies items were plain like home made taste. Weren’t restaurant taste. Also the price they give on phone with tax etc makes you feel they are transparent but they have hidden 1$ fee if paying with card. Price they give on phone is “cash only” price so beware. Staff and owner are very friendly. Interior looks good with cultural pictures. Hence giving 2 stars or its a 1 star for food alone.

Ordered online and got Matar Paneer and Shahi Paneer. Honestly, the food was disappointing. The Matar Paneer was so oily it felt like a bottle of oil had been poured into it. The Shahi Paneer was bland with no real flavor at all.

The rice was the worst part. It wasn’t good basmati rice, more like cheap long grain, and it tasted like it came straight from the buffet line. My order was ready in just 2–3 minutes, which makes me wonder if I was just served leftover buffet food. The curries were so tasteless that the peas in the Matar Paneer ended up being the only decent part of the meal.

Overall, 1 star for food. Definitely not a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for good North Indian dishes.

I’ve been slowly getting into Indian food over the past year, but this experience really sealed the deal for me — absolutely fantastic. The samosas were golden and crispy with a perfectly spiced filling that hit all the right notes. I could’ve eaten a plateful on their own!
The korma was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being too heavy or overly spicy — just a beautiful blend of warmth and depth. And the naan? Soft, fresh, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce.
Everything I tried felt thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. It’s clear a lot of care goes into the food here. As someone still exploring Indian cuisine, this was a standout experience that left me excited to try even more. Top-notch all around and will return!

This was one of the best experiences I have had for Indian cuisine. We went for the Sunday buffet and arrived slightly after 12:00. Hot, fresh naan was brought out to our table promptly. Variety and quality of dishes was impressive. Our meal also included mango lassi and three desserts. The price (~$17) was so reasonable for what you get. This place does not skimp on details either. The ambiance is pleasant and decor attractive. The temperature is kept cool and comfortable for dining. They use cloth napkins, which I prefer over paper. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well as attentive. Overall experience was outstanding and one you should not miss out on if you are craving delicious Indian food on a reasonable budget in Plano, TX.

I’ve been ordering delivery for 2 years from Maharaja, one day I’ll stop by!!

The food is amazing, I order the same 4-5 items once a month and it always tastes as expected and I’ve never had one issue with a wrong item!!

Lamb curry is spectacular, I like it spicy
Onion Bhajia is to die for
Naan/papad is always hot and fresh

And in my order from yesterday I got a nice note from the staff thanking me for my patronage!!

Many Thanks!!

This place serves authentic Punjabi North Indian food, though some dishes can be a bit oily.

Vegetarian options are somewhat limited, but the ones available, like the samosas and hara bhara kebabs, are quite good. I can’t comment on the non-vegetarian dishes.

Suggestion to the chef and owner: Keeping vegetarian and non-vegetarian food separate would help avoid any mixing and be beneficial for those who prefer strictly vegetarian meals.

Overall, it was a decent experience. I’ll likely return after a short break from heavy food.

Wow, just wow! I have never, ever tried such good-tasting Indian food in recent months. The price was perfect ($16.18 for the buffet), the quality was excellent, and the taste was phenomenal! Every single bite was delicious!

It was my first time there today, 3/4/23. The owner was warm and welcoming. Thank you for your fine food and service, namaste!

Went there on a Saturday and it was surprisingly not filled with people. We got a table almost immediately. They bring fresh naan to your table and it is piping hot and fresh. The samosas were the best in the entire buffet along with the kadhi pakora. The rice was dried out and we had chunks of dried out rice. The mixed veg was okay ish, the dal makhani a nightmare. Bhindi aloo tasted good but would have been better if the rice was edible.

There were a lot more meat options. The dishes were obviously catered to Americans as the food is bland without much spices. Still the food was decent, staff was friendly and restaurant was neat. The other patrons seems to enjoy the meat options more than the vegetarian options as no one seemed to touch the vegetarian options much except for the samosas.

Visited monday around noon. This is a great place for vegetarians with Punjabi flavors. Unfortunately many of the dishes at the buffet were cold including the chicken and fish which was slightly concerning. (Also, I’m not sure if they are using proper heat lamps). I do appreciate the fresh naan that was brought to the table with several dessert options.

(Interestingly, they also served salad and ranch next to their sauce section.)
