This was a family outing with 4 of us including my grandson. He was entertained by the show. It was Monday night but there was a steady business.

Service was quick and the food was very good. We had 3 hibachi and 1 sushi eater. The hibachi servings were large plates. We all got soup as well.

First time at this place. The atmosphere was inviting and very spacious. The staff were very tentative of drink refills and the food came out fast. The sesame chicken was the best I’ve eaten. The chicken was perfect. My wife got the hibachi steak and the carrots were not done. It was almost 41$ for us to eat fried calamari, sesame chicken and 3 drinks. The soup is not clear soup, it is miso, we did not enjoy it.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. We had to wait for a table, but it was only about 8 minutes. The area was clean, and we enjoyed watching the chef cook in front of us. He was friendly and sociable. We were served a freshly washed salad before the chef prepared our meal. The meat was fresh, not packaged or processed. The sauce the chef provided was amazing, as was the food. Overall, it was an awesome experience!

One of the best places is Southern Pines for sushi! They offer hibachi and various other dishes other than sushi and the customer service is great. The bathrooms are clean and it’s spacious inside. It can get busy especially during peak hours/weekends and holidays. I’ve liked all the dishes I’ve gotten here and I’ve brought friends and family here too. I recommend this place for a date or family events or if you want to see a hibachi chef cook in front of you. If you’re new, the left side has hibachi seating and the right has regular seating, if you’re ordering sushi fill out the paper form on the table and give it to the waiter.

So the food was just ok. Not amazing which is what I expected. Not impressed for the price. It was packed and our waiter was….meh. We ordered sushi and didn’t get any. I ordered chicken pad Thai and got tofu pad Thai. Hubby’s salmon was overcooked but his veggies were delicious. I do not know if we will return for the food when we can get better elsewhere. But the sushi came highly recommended by a friend so we may return to try it. It was Just meh.

We ordered takeout expecting the same quality hibachi we’ve always received when dining in, and unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. We spent $85 on what was easily the worst to-go hibachi we’ve ever had. Even my 6-year-old commented that it didn’t taste like “normal hibachi.”

I ordered the filet mignon, specifically because filet is known for its tender, melt-in-your-mouth quality. What I received was the chewiest, most tasteless steak imaginable, absolutely not what filet mignon should look or taste like. The fried rice also tasted like old, reheated leftovers, as if it had been microwaved from days prior. My husband fully agreed, so I know this wasn’t just a personal preference issue.

I called to express my concerns and was met with resistance instead of understanding. I was told the steak was “100% filet mignon” and that I “must just not like it,” which was frustrating and dismissive. I am very familiar with filet mignon, which is exactly why I order it.

When I asked for a refund for the filet mignon (at the very least), I was told I would need to come back into the restaurant, despite paying online by card. I live 30 minutes away and have a young child at home, making an hour round trip unreasonable. Additionally, I had no interest in eating more food after this experience.

I ended the call feeling even more upset than before. This was not just about bad food, but about the lack of customer care and accountability. It’s incredibly disappointing to see a restaurant deliver such poor quality for a takeout order and then refuse to make it right.

First time eating here with a party of 8. I called at the beginning of the week for a reservation on a Saturday. When I got there, they didn’t have it wrote down, so I showed where I called & they worked us in at the time I booked it for, so great customer service for that.
The chef interacted with us as he was cooking which made the dinner so much better!
Great atmosphere & a bunch of food for the price!

Great food, consistent every time we come. Food is served fast and hot. Very tasty, good portion of meat and good quality. Servers are kind and attentive. Sushi is good, not tons of rice. 10/10

Excellent fresh tasting sushi. The sushi rolls were amazing. One section is a traditional basic restaurant layout and the other half is the hibachi grill style layout.
