I and my kids got to their location picked up the pizza, paid and arrived home. I went to change my clothes and my son knocked on the door stating that pizza was vegetarian not chicken. I dressed up again, looked at the pizza sure enough it wasn’t the chicken pizza. So I called them and they said that I ordered veggie pizza. I told them that we don’t eat veggie pizza because we get our protein from the chicken. The person I was talking to insisted that I ordered veggie pizza. I told him again that there was a reason why I mentioned that this was my first time there and make no mistakes. The person said that when you say Indian style it means “veggie “ pizza. I said wait a minute I never mentioned veggie so you guys just assumed that Indian style automatically is a veggie pizza. He said yes. I told him that I was willing bring it back and I need my chicken pizza. He put me on hold and returned few minutes later and said,” ok we will make you chicken pizza but bring that pizza with you”.
I said,” ok on my way).
Arrived there. As I placed the pizza box on their counter the attendant said that they are making another pizza for me and will take 10 minutes or so. I said ok. By this time the owner stepped out to the front counter and politely apologized for the confusion and also mentioned that the person who spoke to me over the phone didn’t know the policy that the wrong order should not come back to the store instead let the customer keep it. I told the owner that I was not mad and human errors are acceptable as long as someone takes responsibility . He was very apologetic over and over and offered free soda or any snacks etc. I told him that I’m not there to take advantage of their mistake, all I wanted was correct ordered pizza. He mentioned that the Magoo’s on District Blvd was also his family’s pizza and two of his younger brothers run it.
We had very good conversation.
My pizza was done, off I went home. Tried the chicken pizza but it was missing the taste. We ended up adding salt and hot sauce to give it some taste.
My criticism is only for them to learn from my comment and improve in the future. Comment is not to tarnish their reputation. Coming from food business I know that mistakes are unfortunate and are made very seldom rather than always.
I feel bad that I have to give them only two stars. But honest personal opinion from one time experience.
My advise to everyone is to make sure that they get your order right the first time. Have them repeat it back to you.
I’m sure they will make it right for you.
Told online it would be 30 mins. Showedip after 40 mins due togoing to District location. Told it would be another 10 mins. They are not busy so they literally forgot to make my order.
I get a call from a phone number, at 6:15,I do not recognize. I don’t answer. They call back so I answer. 1st thing out of this person’s mouth is ,:I’m outside with yout pizza”. I reply, “What?, I got my order at 4:30″, thinking this is a joke. He repeats himself, ” I’m outside with your pizza”. I repeat myself, “I got my pizza at 4:30 but if you want to give me more pizza,ok.”. I walk to my front door and no one is parked outside. He then tells me, “I had the wrong receipt”. End of call, right? Wrong, he texts and tells me, “Loose the attitude, next time!”. I called his, according to him, “private number”, but he does not answer. I cal again and he yells into the phone, “Stop calling my private number!”.
I call Magoos and speak to “Gil”, I tell him I want to speak with the manager. Gil informs me the”Manager”, is out making deliveries. Thomas is the manager. This person who got pushed out of shape because he cannot do a job as a delivery driver, and wants to have a CHILD LIKE, attitude with a paying customer, is the “manager”, of this place.
Gil would not give me the Owners name, because he was not at liberty.
I left a message for the ” Owner”, to call me, but nothing.
I had another incident with this same guy, a couple of years ago and I let it go.
Will not patronize this establishment any further as long as this ,” Wanna be Child Manager, is there.
Only issue I had was they worked that guy to the ground. He definitely deserves a raise
