This was my first time visiting this restaurant. Me and my mom went for lunch. We got the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and they were excellent!!! I had the special that day which was hamburger steak with gravy and onions. For my side I chose the collard greens. They were the best collard greens I have ever eaten. The cornbread was good too. It was moist but still has a good texture. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you’re in West Point, MS and have time to sit down and enjoy your lunch. There was no wait. We were seated immediately and the service was great!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 Stars – A Gem with an Incredible Menu!

Magnolias at the Ritz is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the ambience sets the perfect tone—elegant yet welcoming. I can’t say enough about their shrimp tacos—easily the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared every time. And the broccoli salad is my favorite side! My kids enjoy the macaroni and cheese.

The owner truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel valued, and the wait staff is consistently attentive, friendly, and professional. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the service, but Magnolias does it effortlessly.

Whether you’re out for a casual lunch or Sunday brunch, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!

We had the worst experience here on Mother’s Day. It took two hours just to get a table for two. We ordered both appetizers and main courses at the same time. The first appetizer arrived after 20 minutes, and the second one came 15 minutes later—35 minutes just for appetizers.
Our main dishes arrived 30 minutes after that. We ordered French toast with fries and grits, and chicken and waffles with a broccoli salad. I specifically asked the waitress if the broccoli salad had any pork, like bacon. She said no and even confirmed with the cook.
Well, the food was a disaster. The French toast was soggy. There was a hair in the grits. The chicken and waffles were both cold, but the plate was extremely hot—clearly microwaved. And worst of all, the broccoli salad did have bacon in it, despite my religious dietary restriction which I mentioned clearly.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, made even worse by the fact that it was supposed to be a special day. Definitely won’t be returning.

I was very pleased with the suggestion of our waitress to try the pork chop along side greens with mac and cheese. But based on the meals of my lunch hosts, there was apparently no wrong choice to be had. Clearly this is a treasure in West Point.

Dont Try
Absolutely gross French Dip. Bread was hard. The “au ju” was basically thick packaged gravy. NOT au ju. Cold pizza

Me and my boyfriend were traveling home from a wedding in Tupelo on Sunday back to Ocean Springs and decided to take a chance and grab brunch here. Wow, are we happy we did!!. Everything was wonderful from the Bloody Mary’s, Avocado wrap , coleslaw, the atmosphere & beautiful building, the women’s bathroom parlor was made for a queen. However the Pork chop with eggs with special Sausage gravy stole the show! We are a bit of food snobs and spoiled by knowing some of the best chefs in the south. I have never tasted anything so delicious in my life! Get the Sunday brunch pork chop & eggs with a side of grits! I look forward to going back if ever in the area and trying other menu items. So Good!

Oh my, darlin’, my husband and I happened to be hungry on a trip home from vacation and discovered this little gem of a restaurant in downtown West Point, MS. I was immediately captivated by this charming, off the beaten path and totally lovely respite for hungry travelers.
I never could have imagined having the kind of salad I had known as the Mandarin Orange. It was, divine! The chicken was exquisitely seasoned, the pecans and cranberries perfect with endive, spinach and romaine greens which were crisp and fresh to the last bite.
My husband had the pork chop and eggs. We both agreed it was the very best pork chop we had ever put in our mouths. Ever. That’s quite a statement considering both of us are Southern born and have never left the South and have enjoyed the finest in all things Southern when it comes to food for a lifetime. This pork chop was swimming in white, sausage gravy and was so tender it didn’t need a knife to cut it. Imagine that!
It is my fervent hope for this restaurant that it’s reputation reaches to the four corners of our nation. Whether you live in West Point, are Southern or not; this place is worth whatever effort it takes to get there to try their magnificent food.
Magnolia’s@ the Ritz is all that’s excellent about what we offer in the glorious South! Go there!
