I recently visited Thai Magnolia and had an exceptional dining experience. The service was fantastic, with staff being attentive and friendly, which greatly enhanced our meal.
We ordered a delicious selection of dishes including deep fried tofu, pad Thai lemon grass chicken, chicken pot stickers, and mango sticky rice. Each dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavors, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The pad Thai lemon grass chicken stood out with its vibrant, zesty flavor, while the mango sticky rice was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

Second try for us, 2 for dinner at 6:30. No problems getting a table. Greeted warmly and quickly too!
The design is simple but it’s update and clean.Nice touch with bamboo lighting , light wood tables and floral designs here and there.
We ordered Pad See Ww with chicken and Stir Fry with Pork . We appreciated the generous portions and the food was served on porcelain plates vs plastic.
Great flavors, we ate it all. ! New menu coming out next week and we can’t wait to try the northern Thai she’s adding.

Had a wonderful dinner experience at Magnolia Thai Restaurant. The interior floral decor is nice. The main thing is the food and friendly staff. The chef could really dish out some amazing Thai food. The Boat Noodle was flavorful with umami broth. Pad Thai with prawns was delicious. The Tom Yum Gai Coconut soup had that creamy and just the right touch of sweetness and sourness. Their chicken satay skewers were also great. And the crispy fried chicken wings were awesome! We got both the larb and mango. All in all the food was fantastic. We totally enjoyed the dinner. Highly recommended!

I ordered off Uber Eats and received my food with two tiny curly black hairs (look exactly like pubes). This is so disgusting especially considering I’d already taken a couple bites. Highly recommend not eating here and if you do check your food throughly before eating it.

First of all this is a authentic Thai restaurant. The owner, is a beautiful and gracious host that welcomed us into her restaurant. Her father is her cook and the atmosphere is welcoming. The food was delicious, it was hot, and the presentation was very appealing. I had the Phad Thai woon sun and it was delicious.
We came to the restaurant on a Thursday before the labor day weekend and we were the only customers, however there were plenty of takeout orders coming in and out.
The parking lot is tight and can fill up quickly because of a bar on the other side of the building but there is parking around the back side of the building when the lot is filled.
The food is wonderful and filling and the price for 2 entries, a appetizer, and 2 mango juice drinks was about $50.00, not bad.
I just found my new Thai restaurant. Give it a try and be prepared for your host to interact will you, you are her guest, it is the Thai way.

What a great spot. Enthusiastic owner operators create a warm welcome environment. We visited on Valentines Day and the place was tastefully decorated for the holiday. We enjoyed a free appetizer which lead into wonderfully fresh and tasty meals. Service was outstanding and all dishes seamed to be priced fairly.
Looking forward to returning on my next trip to Milwaukee and Portland.

Our go to take out place for living in Milwaukie! We come here 1-2x a month. We love the food! I always order the yellow curry and my husband orders the pineapple fried rice. We’ve been pleased each time we go. The people who work here are very friendly. The inside restaurant is clean. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

I really don’t like giving negative reviews unless it’s truly warranted and unfortunately my experience ordering from Magnolia Thai fits the description.
I ordered through Magnolia Thai’s website (processed through Toast) on a Monday, then drove over to find the restaurant appeared closed – doors locked, chairs upside down on tables. Frustrated, I got dinner elsewhere and figured they’d catch the error the following day and be in touch or I’d see a refund.
By Friday, I hadn’t received any contact so I called Magnolia Thai and described the situation calmly to the person that answered. Without any apology or emotion, they said I’d need to talk to a manager, asked me to wait (no problem) then a manager came on, where I gave the brief description again – that I ordered through their website, paid money, received no food, and received no refund. The manager simply asked for my name and contact info and they’d look into it. No apology, no explanation why the restaurant was closed during their posted business hours (family emergency, pipe burst, etc. – no explanation). I was put off but let it be, figuring I’d wait a week to hear back or see a refund.
Two weeks passed and I still heard nothing and saw no refund to my credit card. I simply reported the dispute to my credit card company and moved on, never hearing from anyone at Magnolia Thai again. I meant to post this review a few months back when this actually happened, for what it matters.
I’d love to know if their food is as good as other reviews say, but I can’t support a business that isn’t interested in taking their customers seriously when a problem arises.

Food, when good, is really good. Fell in love with the place very quickly.
The problem is a truly incredible lack of consistency. It’s like they have 5 different chefs cooking things. You can order the same meal, literally item for item, word for word, and get five completely different results in terms of spice level, flavor, texture, and basically everything. Even really dead simple stuff like ordering “thai hot” and getting zero spice. Not mild, nothing. And repeatedly!
Complaining, adding special extra notes, etc has not improved anything. They did offer to comp a meal when we complained once, but we did not take them up on it and don’t care to – we don’t want a refund. We want when we are tired, hungry and decide to spend extra to eat out, to get what we ordered and have it be even halfway consistent. Not perfect, not exactly the same every single time, but just something better than throwing a dart at a dart board.
Our bank app says we ate there 22 times from Apr 2025 through today (end of Jan 26) and spent $550 thus far. Tonight was our last attempt.
