Magnolia is one of our family favorites. Chef Steve and team serve up amazing tasting food in a comfortable lowkey environment.
We had the crawfish empandas (forgot a picture) as an appetizer. The dough was light and airy with ample large crawdad pieces covered in etouffe!!
My daughter and I went with the all-you-can-eat catfish. Filets were large, crisp, and breaded perfectly in cornmeal batter.
My wife chose crab cakes. They were tender and well cooked. We all took asparagus from her!
Scott provided attentive service even as magnolia was slammed all evening!

Came for lunch. The place was pretty packed but we got a table no wait. Food came out at a normal lazy pace but understandable because of the crowd. Food was tasty and comforting. Chicken dumplings is a must try. Ditto on the chicken and sausage gumbo. Although I would have liked more sausages in it. I like my chicken and sausages cubed instead of shredded like how it was here. It was still good. The wait staff came off and on to apologize for the wait and filled up our waters. This was the first time I tried fried green tomatoes. It was definitely unique crunchy and tart. Not too bad. Good meal.

The food here was just ok. Definitely not a true representation of Cajun style food. I had the sampler appetizer, hardly any seasoning and not fried properly. My main meal was red beans and rice with Jalapeño cornbread. The beans were hard, and the cornbread was really dry. The food wasn’t the greatest, but the drink from the bar was very good and the waitress was nice.

We got the cajun chicken wings, bacon wrapped shrimp, and was supposed to be strawberry cheesecake. The chicken was wayyyy to salty and seasoned, the shrimp was tough and overcooked, and they sent a chocolate cake inatead of strawberry cheesecake. A total waste of $60. We WONT ORDER HERE EVER AGAIN.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here this evening. I had their Mahi Mahi special. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My wife had the Shrimp and Scallop Angel Hair Pasta in a white wine sauce. The depth and richness of the flavors was awesome. The scallops were buttery and melted in your mouth. The shrimp were grilled to perfection. We shared a crab cake appetizer which was loaded with lump crab meat and tons of flavor. That was the best crab cake we’ve ever had. For dessert we shared a strawberry cheesecake which was fluffy and delicious with a beautifully homemade graham cracker crust.
Can’t wait to go again.

1st time here today. Met the owner Steve. Who also is the chef. This place is clean and modern. Service was great, I had the Red Fish with crawfish and dirty rice. Ordered the bodine sausage appetizer. It was wonderful! My wife had the Chicken and sausage gumbo, she loved it! Definitely coming back!!

5yr old restaurant that I can see having long term success. Its appeal is casual, yet sophisticated. The service of the bartender, Blair, was quaint and welcoming. The menu is traditional Louisiana cuisine with a touch of uniqueness and eloquence. The ribeye and jambalya was delicious and very filling; though it was not prepared correctly the first time. I truly enjoyed my lunch and will return for dinner with my spouse.

Everything looked so good on the website but not when you eat it. It was my first time ordering from here, I ordered the seafood pasta. No flavor! 3 shrimp? Where’s the crab and crawfish?? Couldnt find them! Sorry but not worth $25! Never again! Pasta has no flavor, we had to add our own Cajun seasoning! Bread was nothing special, they just slathered a piece of butter on it, and the portions were kids meal size
