I have to say I went to magnolia 23 twice today. Yes I did. Okay I will admit that. The first time I went was for lunch. It was amazing!!! I came back to order dinner for my family to go and that got complicated. They were very accommodating and because of the confusion and it was a big order. They did give us an extra dessert which I’m going to say. My grandson’s really liked it. Okay. They really liked all the extra desserts that we bought and I have to say I think all the hype around the fried chicken is absolutely spot on. Absolutely! Delicious. I think the best side dish is cuz I tried like every one of them and if I had to choose only two of them and it’s really hard is the yams and the green beans I’ll fill. The potato salad was pretty darn good and that made it really hard. I really like the cornbread and the butter really makes the difference. I don’t know what they do but it was delicious. Okay so now we had the desserts we had the lemon cake, strawberry not the yellow cake with chocolate frosting, and the Hershey cake. Now there was a divided decision from my grandson’s one really liked the strawberry nut the most and the other one liked the lemon one and the Hershey one equally. Personally I like them all because they were really good. The lemon was a little dry and I really wanted to have it with coffee which would be absolutely Divine but even though it was a little dry according to my grandson it was really good and he liked it equally with the chocolate Hershey cake. So there you have it.

This restaurant caught my attention as I was driving by. The ambience along with the food was 5/5. The food tasted completely fresh, the dinner roll was delivered fresh & warm and everything was cooked to perfection! The flavors blended well and created a memorable experience. It was totally worth the extended drive and I definitely will be back!

Our group of six visited Magnolia 23 for the first time on Sunday afternoon (March 1st), and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door.
We were greeted by Jerry, who was the perfect host — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. What made our visit even more special was when Don, one of the owners, came by our table and spent a few minutes talking with us, asking where we were from, and making sure everything was just right. You can truly tell this place cares about its guests. Both Jerry and Don have great personalities, a fantastic sense of humor, and exceptional hospitality skills. They made us feel less like customers and more like friends stopping by for a visit.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the entire experience made us excited to come back again soon.

They have the BEST home cooked food!!! Their fried chicken is the absolute BEST, the pork chops are amazing!! Oh and I definitely can’t forget my most favorite veggie the collard greens Mac and cheese EVERYTHING here is GREAT!!! Everyone is so nice and friendly!! They have done several catering’s for me as well and they make sure to go above and beyond for that also!! Never had anything bad from here!! Friendly hospitality and great atmosphere!!! If you haven’t ever been here you are missing out!!!

Third time eating here and loved every single visit. The staff are friendly and efficient. Don always comes to say hello. In the past we’ve done the chicken and dumplings which are delicious and as is the fried chicken and every side we’ve tried. This visit we did the spring salad with grilled chicken. Had mixed greens, dried cranberries, grapes, strawberry, walnuts, feta, and chose the strawberry vinaigrette. Super fresh and delightful. And today we got to have Don’s bologna burger which comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, cole slaw, and chili. Ordered it without chili but Don came by and convinced us to go with the chili. He says bologna is like hot dogs and if you go all the way on hot dogs then go all the way on the bologna burger. It was great but super messy. It’s a first come first seated and you wait at the back of the restaurant for a seat. Worth stopping in for great food and lovely staff

The food was outstanding- every single thing. Being from Hudson, NY, it was such a treat! I will be traveling to the area on business and this will be my go to spot whenever I am in town. Don was absolutely wonderful and although they were very busy – he made time to welcome us and treat us like we were guests in his home. The hospitality was perfection and the food exceeded every expectation. Oh, the greens were to die for! See you soon! ❤️

The atmosphere was very beautiful and upscale. Our waitress was kind and on point. The owner walked around and spoke to everyone and it was a very welcoming environment. The food was good. Hands down the best fried chicken we have ever had!
