We just had lunch at Maglia Rosa and it was great. The house-made focaccia was delicious and the arancini some of the best that we’ve had since Sicily. Fresh beer on tap. An excellent outdoor space. A sweet little market for picking up things Italian. We’ll be back.

Had a lovely time stopping in for lunch. Had the pear and burrata appetizer (photo is after I ate half), creamy mushroom pasta and chocolate torte. Everything was really yummy, flavors were intense and thoughtful. Got “the Don” whiskey (pomegranate juice?) cocktail and that was also amazing. Our server Saturday was super friendly.

I was blessed and lucky enough to live in Rome for a couple years. I struggle with Italian food in America ever since then. I judge any Italian restaurant I go to buy their Bolognese in this place do not disappoint. It was for sure the best Bolognese I’ve had in a restaurant and outside of my own Kitchen in a very long time!

You should go here!! The vinaigrette on the Radicchio salad was delicious, the star of the show was Mint Tagliatelle. I will definitely be returning!

Mixed review. The focaccia was excellent but the main, the gnocchi which was explained as squash stuffed dumplings was anything but. The “dumplings” which were so soft they didn’t resemble any other dumplings I’ve ever had were stuffed with something white and mushy that was certainly not squash. However the orange wine which was recommended was delicious. Not sure I’ll be back.

Really cool Italian market/bar that just opened up on Division. They had a great wine selection, which is 40% off if you are just buying the bottle, but also would love the chance to try their menu and dine in. A good assortment of high quality ingredients and pastas. Apparently they will have a deli section too. I was greeted so kindly when I entered, great vibe, looking forward to returning soon.

I had to say I was very sad to see Bollywood go in the neighborhood bc it was one of my FAVORITES, but I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Maglia Rosa since the same chef was reinventing the space. We finally had a chance to dine there Friday night with a bunch of girlfriends and it was DELICIOUS. We tried almost every salad on the menu (beet/avocado/cucumber, chopped salad, and the Raddichio, all were yummy, perfectly dressed, fresh ingredients. For the main I ordered the cavatelli with beef ragu, was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, the pasta was perfectly cooked. We shared the fresh corn fritelle (corn fritters) that came with the yummiest peach chutney which felt like a nice nod to Bollywood:) For dessert I had the sorbet of the day (peach, yum!). I can’t wait to come back and try some other things, I’ve heard the crespelle fiorentina is a favorite. I will also be back for some quick to go meals that come in handy during the busy week, and they have a lovely wine selection. They even let you taste some wines when you order your dinner. It’s a bit funky ordering at the counter but that was how Bollywood was before, and it actually works, and the staff took note when the line was getting long, to add another person taking orders. Once we were at our table, several different servers checked in on us regularly and we could order additional drinks and our dessert without standing back in line which was awesome. I also just love the vibe in side with nice lighting, tall ceilings and tables of various sizes depending on your group. They also great seating outside with a lovely patio and covered area with heat lamps. Great addition to the neighborhood.

I had a lovely dinner!! Really nice atmosphere and I do appreciate a counter service spot with good food. We shared the bean toast (I don’t remember the name but it was so good), the radicchio salad, the pork shoulder and a nice stuffed pasta with potato and cheese. I’ll be back for sure. And the patio will be great during the nice weather!

I was looking for a good lunch option – Google reading 4.5+ in the SE Portland area. There are lots of food carts and take-outs, but I wanted warm seating with service.

We came across Maglia Rosa and it met all of my expectations .

Good quality food. Real sauce and spices. Not your run of the mill, common dishes. Nice ambiance, not trying too hard, simple enough and roomy.

The server was professional and friendly.

Even though I was raised in Portland and consider it my beloved hometown, I now live in Europe and work in New York and Tokyo, so I’m so fortunate to have the best foods in the world.

I found meals and high standard service/ambiance in this restaurant that would right up there with the greats.

Highly recommend. Go there before it gets difficult to get seats.
