We recently dined at Magic Masala in Seattle, and honestly, we couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

We went based on a recommendation from my wife’s friend, and it absolutely delivered. The place itself is on the smaller side, and while the décor is simple and unassuming, what truly matters here is the food and the service, and both are exceptional.

When we arrived, the restaurant was already about half full. Within the first 5 to 10 minutes, it was completely packed, which tells you everything you need to know.

We followed the server’s recommendations, and every single suggestion was spot on.

The standout dish was the Chicken 65, hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was crispy fried chicken, but instead of leaning into an Indo-Chinese flavor profile, it had a rich South Indian twist, topped with what tasted like a luscious butter chicken style gravy. It was genuinely otherworldly. I was completely full by the end of the meal, but there was no way I was leaving a single bite of that unfinished.

We also ordered the bhindi capsicum, which was extraordinarily flavorful, and the Malabari paratha, which was flaky, rich, and soft. A portion of rice accompanied the meal, and it paired beautifully with the Chicken 65. We also had the samosa chaat, which was delicious, though I was too busy enjoying it to remember to take a photo.

I will be posting photos of all the dishes except the samosa chaat because they absolutely deserve the spotlight. The portion sizes were generous, we could not finish everything, but every dish was worth savoring.

Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. If you are in Seattle and craving truly flavorful Indian food with great service and generous portions, Magic Masala is a must visit.

Such a wonderful place. Their dal is the most flavorful I’ve ever had in Seattle. And the samosa chaat is probably my favorite dish there, even though it is an appetizer! Very filling and usually enough for just me. For some reason, it has been difficult for me to find authentic chaat-based dishes in Seattle (especially samosa chaat, which is also my top choice!!). So I am very grateful they carry this, along with many other options to choose from.

I always get their chai too. I like that it isn’t sweet, and you can add the sweetener yourself. Especially nice and warming for this colder time of year.

Thank you! Excited to bring my friends and family here too.

This place is incredible! I don’t get Indian food very often, but I’m so glad I went here with my family. The waiters were super helpful and friendly, frequently checking on us and refilling water. One waiter gave me a recommendation for his favorite curry, Methi Chicken Curry, and it was everyone’s favorite! All the food was delicious, well priced, and well portioned, plus the menu is very extensive and easy to navigate on their website. Absolutely come here if you like Indian food or are looking to try something new!

This is a new place started in 2025 serving authentic Indian food. Highly recommend chicken 65, malai soya chaap and goat biryani. They were all so good. Biryani raita is dahi with onion tadka and tastes really good; didn’t expect that. Fish curry was ok. I would definitely be trying more items from their menu. Thank you for choosing Seattle 🙂

New order update:
1. Garlic chilli soya chaap – not great, won’t be ordering again. Very saucy and lacked the soya chaap flavor. I enjoyed the malai soya chaap, not this.
2. Samosa chat – loved the curd consistency and the chutneys. Overall a good dish. Since it was a takeout, the samosa became soggy. I’m sure it would taste even better when dining in.

We went to Magic Masala and came away with a great experience. The chicken tandoori and lamb vindaloo were both fabulous, and cooked perfectly with the right amount of spice. The biryani rice was excellent and we also enjoyed the garlic naan. Prices were a couple dollars more than we expected, but that is to be understood given the current state of pricing throughout Seatown. Staff seemed very friendly and ready to help. We will be going back!

We dined at Magic Masala Indian Cuisine today, and what an incredible experience it was! The restaurant was quite busy, which is always a good sign, but we were still seated comfortably and served promptly. The ambiance was clean and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a hearty Indian meal.

We tried a wide variety of dishes: cheeku shake, lamb biryani, paneer biryani, dal makhni, fish pakora, aloo tikki chaat, chai, cucumber raita, Hakka noodles, and chicken tikka. Every dish stood out in flavor and authenticity, and the portions were generous. The prices were surprisingly very reasonable, especially considering the high quality and portion sizes.

Our server, Harshank, provided excellent service. He checked on us multiple times, made us feel genuinely welcome, and even recommended a few amazing dishes that we absolutely loved. His attentiveness really elevated our dining experience.

One dish that especially stood out for me was the dal makhni—it had a unique flavor profile compared to the North Indian style I grew up with, and I found it to be absolutely delicious. The biryanis were rich and flavorful, the appetizers were crisp and fresh, and the chai was the perfect end to a filling meal.

Even though my stomach was full, my eyes wanted more—everything looked so good! This place definitely knows how to leave an impression, and we will absolutely be coming back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend Magic Masala Indian Cuisine for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors, generous portions, and great service.

I really enjoyed my visit to Magic Masala Indian Cuisine. Thanks to my Indian friends, I’ve been exploring Indian food, and this place made me appreciate it even more. The chili chicken appetizer was absolutely amazing — flavorful and perfectly balanced in spice. The mango kulfi dessert was unforgettable, creamy and refreshing with a rich mango taste. The food quality and taste were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant for a true Indian dining experience.

Have been there last week. I will say best food i had from pretty long time. Every dish we got was awesome. Butter and garlic naan was on perfection, Thin n soft. My 4 year old also enjoyed paneer butter masala with naan. Kitchen staff has well control on spices based on individual preferences and waiting staff is efficient and friendly. We love this place and is our favorite place now. We recommend MAGIC MASALA to all whoever is craving good indian food. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

So good, Magic Masala opening close to where we live is the best thing that’s happened in 2025! My husband is from South India and we would drive 45 min~ to Bothell and Kirkland to the couple places with good, home-style biryani, but now that Magic Masala is here close to us and has amazing chicken 65 biryani, chicken fry biryani, etc we are sooo happy. We dined in for the first time about 3 weeks ago, since then we have ordered take out at least 4-5 times and dined in twice. The portions are very large and price reasonable, one biryani will usually make 2 meals for the both of us. Sangamam also opened in Fremont recently, and we will go there for dosa sometimes or with someone who wants to have food served in fancy plates, but the actual food at Magic Masala (especially the biryani!!) is honestly so much better and the portions are large. The Dahi Puri is also great and can’t wait to try the rest of their food. We have friends from Hyderabad who live in the area and they also started getting food here regularly.
