Came here for the breakfast burrito, but fell in love with so much more. Have to admit these were the best grits I’ve had yet and I highly recommend the schnitzel biscuit! Thank you Jim and Kim for being so welcoming and making this lunch as special as it was.
P.S. they have an awesome miniature train setup and kids are welcome to enjoy it.

I met this lovely couple at another restaurant in town and they invited me to come try out their restaurant. Boy am I glad I did! Five stars hands down! The pancakes were big and fluffy just like I like, bacon was crispy! And that biscuit OMG. The best birthday breakfast a lady could ask for!!

Definitely give this place a try! It’s small, but mighty! It’s a nice spot for breakfast and they do take-out. They have a couple small tables inside and some picnic tables outside. The menu is specialized, focusing on biscuits and handhelds. We tried the breakfast burrito, the breakfast quesadilla, and the biscuits and gravy. The food was delicious!

I wish there were an option to do 6 stars… Family run business, very nice people, they make things from scratch, food was delicious! Scratch biscuits and gravy?! Now I’m in the south! Flattop breakfast cooked to perfection! Outdoor and indoor seating. Thanks for the hiking fuel!!

This place has some of the best breakfasts I have ever had. My Wife and I stopped in to try them out, was definitely worth the stop.
So , next morning, we went again, just to be sure.
And , yes they do have excellent food.

Breakfast Depot is such a gem! Jim and Kim were incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we walked in — you can really feel the heart behind this place. The food was delicious and clearly made with care, but the homemade salsa honestly surprised me in the best way — fresh, flavorful, and not something you expect to rave about at a breakfast spot (yet here we are!).
Great food, even better people. We’ll definitely be back

These folks are great and let me tell you something – I’ve never had better biscuits and gravy in my 44 years on this Earth. (Sorry, Grandma) – and the croissant sandwiches with the herb mayo wow

This family-run business is exactly the type of place I love to eat at when visiting a new town. Jim and Kim were very accommodating when I brought in my crew of 6 kids – they were friendly, made us feel at home, and served delicious food. The breakfast sandwiches were unique, yet had something everyone liked. If you’re looking for an easy and tasty start to your day, you should definitely stop in. I look forward to our next visit!

The Breakfast Depot is a must-stop when you’re in Maggie Valley! From the moment we walked in, we were met with the warmest, most genuine hospitality. It felt like being welcomed by old friends. We came in thinking we’d just grab a biscuit to go, and somehow left feeling like we’d gained a new group of friends. The food was spectacular and made with so much care. This place is truly a Maggie Valley breakfast staple, and we can’t wait to come back!

Great for a quick stop to grab breakfast sandwiches for your ride, wherever you’re going. The service and atmosphere are excellent; 5 stars.
4-star overall review because I feel the breakfast sandwiches lacked a bit of flavor. We had three different ones, with different bread, meats, and cheeses, yet aside from texture, they were very much alike. The coffee could use a bit more punch/flavor as well.
Can’t go wrong with a stop here, though, and this will likely be added to the list of our regular stops when in Maggie Valley.
