Maggiano’s Little Italy
We had a great family here in mid-December. It was a Saturday evening as they are gearing up for holiday traffic and so the lobby was packed. Still, we were seated in less than 30 minutes as we had a reservation.
Here is what we enjoyed this evening:
Shared appetizers:
– wagyu meatballs
– fried calamari
Entrees:
– Baked ziti with sausage
– Rogatoni “D” with chicken & mushrooms
– Fettucini with clams
– Shrimp scampi with spaghetti (my pick)
Shared dessert:
– Butter cake with strawberries and whipped cream
The meal was lovely and filling. The wagyu meatballs were very tender and could have been someone’s entree to be honest. And the fried calamari was crispy and the breading light enough to enjoy the meat.
My shrimp scampi was also quite tasty and quite filling. There was ample butter and garlic on the bottom and middle of the plate which encouraged twirling and mixing. And as expected, there was enough for a second meal which we enjoyed reheated in a skillet the next day.
In summary, it was a fantastic experience with very nice decor and giant portions. We all shared our entrees and so it was sort of a family style experience after all. I like to visit this restaurant with the right company in various cities (we have this restaurant in Denver as well.

I got stuck at the airport due to canceled flights from the government shutdown. My wife thought we would be compensated for whatever we purchased to eat while we were stuck without travel as she had purchased us “trip insurance” from American Airlines. But they did not reimburse us at all. We ended up paying for this meal out of pocket. If we had known I would have gladly ate the beef jerky I had in my carry on. But I digress. The food was great and the staff was very nice. I didn’t get a look at their kitchen but I pray to god it’s clean. Who knows tho. Commercial kitchens can be absolutely gnar. Highly recommend the fried zucchini

Surprisingly good for an airport restaurant! Plenty of seating and service is good. The vodka sauce penne was delicious especially with the spicy sausage! Portion sizes are generous too. We also liked the spicy sausage flatbread. Good place to hangout if you’re stuck in Termina C in Dallas!

Airside restaurant.
Decent Italian food especially for an airport. I enjoyed the chicken Parmesan sandwich but didn’t like the thick fried potatoes that came with it. The potato wedges were too thick to get any flavor into the center of the wedge.

Popped in for a quick bite and sat at the bar. Bartender Kenneth was lovely, on top of things, and all around a super dude (Thanks, Kenneth, for a very pleasant quick dinner). Food was very good and was surprised that the price point wasn’t the typical airport price gauging. Great restaurant and will definitely be back next time I fly through DFW.

It is a nice option as airport restaurant, the pasta Alfredo was cooked right, al dente, but the sauce lacked flavor, but it is a mild sauce

Food was fine and reasonably priced for airport food. Server did not visit table often and got drink order wrong. I may visit again but probably not the next time I’m at DFW airport. Not a bad option if you have the time

It was my wife and I’s first time eating at a Maggiano’s and were pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable an airport restaurant could be! Our server was very attentive and was honest when my wife asked for some food recommendations, which lead to an overall great tasting meal! We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip, which my wife loved but I just wasn’t a fan of the cheese on top. I had the meatball sub, which was very flavorful and the side Italian salad. My wife had the chicken Alfredo which was also very delicious. Overall a great place to eat before a long flight!
