We had birria tacos, fajita tacos and drinks. This is a walk up and order, sit, then get up and get your drink and food place. Super chill. This was a good option at 9pm when most other restaurants are closing. The birria tacos were ok but they did come out really hot, which was good The fajita tacos were on the warm/cold side and I would say average. I had a paloma and it was really good. At the first zip it transported me back to my younger days drinking in Mexico.

I had heard nothing but great things about Maestro Tacos, so I was excited to order lunch. What I did not realize was that I was signing up for a full customer service scavenger hunt.

My coworker and I placed two separate orders through the website, which clearly offers delivery. I received a receipt, a promised delivery time of 12:50 PM, multiple confirmation texts, and a cheerful thank you for my purchase. Everything looked efficient and professional.

By 1:00 PM, there were still no tacos. No updates either.

I called the phone number listed on the website. Not in service. I found another number online. Also not working. I called the number the texts came from. It tells you to text your concerns and then disconnects. I texted anyway. Silence. Checked my bank account and yes, they charged my debit card right away.

My coworker finally drove to the physical location to pick up our food. That is when we learned they do not offer delivery and it should not be listed on the website. When told the phone numbers were not working, the response was, “I thought it was working.” That was the extent of the explanation. No apology. No effort to make it right . Except they did remake our food ( in my opinion that was a non-negotiable).

If delivery is not available, it probably should not be advertised. If the phone numbers do not work, they probably should not be posted. And if something goes wrong, a simple apology would go a long way.

I really wanted to love this place. Today was not that day. They lost two customers today-

Overall we had a great experience! I had the Birria tacos and they were delicious and so were the margaritas! However the girl who was working the front counter didn’t say anything to us until we had been waiting at the register for a while and she was ready to stop what she was doing to take our order. No greeting and she clearly didn’t want to be there. She wasn’t overly rude but wasn’t welcoming either. The guy who made our margaritas was great however and we would definitely come back! First impression could definitely improve though.

Great staff. Inviting patio. They have a menu on the wall to order from. They’ll call you when your food is done. Off the beaten path taco joint. They have burritos, street tacos, birria platter which looked delicious. Lots of hot sauces to go along the traditional green and red sauce which they make. Tortillas are also made right in front of you like and old Mexican kitchen. I had the trompo and a barbacoa tacos. Came with grilled onion and jalapeno along w the traditional onion cilantro garnish. What a treat. Will definitely be back if I am in the area and I will bring friends. Must. Try for all my followers. Follow me for more reviews.

Was here a couple of times last September when I was in town because it was right behind our hotel. Had the Birria tacos the first time, and they were good, not my favorite. Had some steak and chicken tacos the second time and again they were good, but the third time we went I got a steak burrito and man I still think about that burrito. Regret not getting another when I had the chance. One of the best burritos I’ve ever had.

Came in for a couple margaritas. We tried the spicy margarita…. It is a would not order again for me. Service was good, everyone was very nice, indoor and outdoor seating. Food looked good, we didn’t eat here. Grabbed some candy and called it a night

The tacos are good, and I mainly go here because it’s close to my apartment. That said, the service has been consistently frustrating. I always place my order online and arrive about 15 minutes later, but somehow my order is never in the system. This ends up adding another 10 minutes of waiting every time.
At night especially, there always seems to be a bunch of younger employees just standing around talking instead of checking orders or helping customers. The food is good, but the poor organization and lack of attention make the experience disappointing.

Overall this is a spot we would definitely visit the next time we’re in Fort Worth. The service was great. The guy who took our order greeted us with a smile, was friendly, and was kind and patient as our party decided what we wanted to order. I had the birria with was really good. The consome was great! The only thing I would have added alwas onions and cilantro to the actual tacos instead of just on the consome. My dining partner had the chicken quesadilla. He said it was good but wished it had a little more cheese pull. All of our food was piping hot, which we loved. We went early, so no cocktails this go ’round. Will definitely be trying the margaritas next time. The churros were pretty good too. We tried one of each. The chips were freshly homemade. Delicious! The queso was lacking flavor a bit, but still decent. Just not great. And we got all of that for $40! Can’t beat it in this economy! As for atmosphere, we sat inside and loved being able to see into the kitchen and watching the tortillas being made. The door was open a lot due to people coming in and out, so there were a few flies. But they weren’t awfully bothersome. Just had to play a little round of “shoo fly” for part of our visit. They also have plenty of patio seating. All in all, we’re excited to try more of the menu when we come back.
