This has been the 3rd time I’ve been here and I’ve always been given great service no matter who serves me. The waitresses are all friendly. I get the breakfast platter with 3 eggs, 3 bacon, 2 sausage patties, hashbrown casserole, toast, and 2 pancakes. For dessert they had upside down pineapple cake. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity on that especially with how fast it was selling out. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. I’ve never had an issue with getting my food. Always hot and fresh. But I come here because of the pancakes! They’re always hot, fluffy, and they taste absolutely amazing. My waitress was Kanisha and she did an amazing job. She kept me stocked up on sweet tea and made sure I had everything. She did a top notch job.

Stopped in for breakfast while in town for Octoberfest and let me tell you, the roadkill breakfast sandwich was amazing! The pancakes were large and fluffy, and the bacon was crispy! We would definitely come back!

We love stopping at little family owned businesses for breakfast. This one was pretty good. The pancakes were fluffy and had a great taste. Props for presentation on the sugar free syrup!!! Most places just give me a bottle of Smuckers or Carey’s.

Mae’s eggs Benedict and hash brown casserole never disappoints! If that’s not your thing, the boxcar is pretty tasty too. Great food made by great people! Love Mae’s!

They had salmon patties on the menu for Wed. They were very good. My Dad got the tenderloin. It’s huge and delicious. He could only eat half of his meal. Waitress was very nice. It was quiet. Not too many people at 3:30.

I remembered coming here when it was Betty’s. I live out of town now and was in the area so I decided to bring my sister and niece here for lunch. Our food sat in the serving window for about 7 minutes before it was brought to our table. The portions are smaller and the prices are higher. If seemed there was one server for the whole restaurant. I asked for a warm up of my coffee and eventually had to get up and go to the counter to ask for it. The food was good quality and taste and the restaurant seemed clean. We visited on a Saturday. If there were more servers my experience would have been much better.

My wife comes to Mae’s often for breakfast and brings me the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich; I’ve never had a bad one until today 11/28/2025. I wish I could post the picture of this egg that was placed on my sandwich; it was all yellow, very thin and not much bigger than the size of one sausage Patty. Absolutely terrible
