This place is such a vibe! The music is always on point and sets the perfect atmosphere for a great night out. They have a wide variety of cocktails including N/A, so there’s something for everyone, and everything I’ve tried from the menu has been delicious. The chicken wings are hands down the best I’ve found in the city—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. On top of that, the whole place felt very clean and well kept. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to! Excited to try their brunch.

What a great spot. The menus is amazing. Haven’t had a bad meal here yet. The new ownership really seems to know what they are doing. This place is just what Westport needs. They have live music and I even watched the USA gold medal hockey game here this morning at 8 am! 5 stars all day! I even brought my daughter for her favorite thing ever. Mac and Cheese!!!

And the food absolutely holds up. The burger is a total standout, juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. Then there’s the loaded tots and fries combo, which is basically comfort food heaven. Crispy, loaded, and so satisfying you’ll end up talking about it the next day.
If you want great food and that “everybody knows your name” energy, Mae’s Tavern is it.

The food and service are excellent, but the cocktails, while good, are way overpriced. $17 is outrageous for a place with this kind of atmosphere. They might have to wake up and realize they aren’t the Mercury Room. I would also enjoy my glass of wine served in a decent glass. And lastly, the new owners didn’t keep the fried Havarti on the menu and that made me a little sad. I’m looking forward to going back to try the burger. It looked delicious on my neighbor’s plate. I’ll just stick to beer and avoid the cocktails.

So excited to try Mae’s Tavern! The family atmosphere that just makes you feel so at home is amazing! I loved the bad and boozy cocktail they had for Valentines weekend. Great balance of flavor with vodka and raspberry. I couldn’t pin point the flavor that blended it all together and Salah, the bartender, told me about the white cranberry juice it made so much sense! Try the fish and chips whatever the magic the chef does, they do not disappoint! Definitely on my list of frequent places to go for a great dinner and atmosphere!

I went for the Reuben, and it did not disappoint! Made in house, tender and delicious (mine has no sauerkraut). The bread its served on is fresh and soft. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. They were tasty, but the portion was small for $12 (5 very small mushrooms). Friendly service. Draft beer selection could be better.

My wife and I recently visited the all new Mae’s Tavern and just loved it! They’ve done so many improvements to the space itself, it feels elevated yet holding onto that friendly neighborhood bar feel. OMG! The food is delicious, the drinks are delightful and the staff is exceptional. Get your life together and get to Mae’s Tavern!
