Did takeout here once because I didn’t feel like driving 20 miles to the nearest town and this is the only restaurant in Irwinton, so “beggars can’t be choosers”, right? Surprisingly, the fried chicken had a nice coating to it and was seasoned well, but unfortunately the sides were less impressive. This place isn’t going to blow you away, but it is what it is… a small family diner in a small town.

Timely service, great food, hole in the wall kind of place. The fried chicken was luscious. Thank you!

This was my Pawpaw’s absolute most favorite place to hop over and eat at when he worked at the chalk mine. So many memories here. And great prices with stellar options!!!

Hash browns were the same from Arby’s; sunny side eggs were not fully cooked (the whites were still very runny). Country ham was so salty that I couldn’t even finish it. Biscuit didn’t taste like they were homemade. Server kept asking us if everything was alright, and I finally told her the truth. She said, “That’s always how we’ve done it”; she didn’t apologize nor take my criticism well. She kept making comments on how I didn’t finish my food. As an ex-waitress, I was apalled by the lack of customer service. Will not come back ever.

My family and I ate here while visiting this city for the banana pudding Festival the food was okay it was fresh and the atmosphere could be updated 10 years ago of course during a special occasion like the festival we were visiting defeating was limited but we got in pretty quick I’d say we waited on a table for maybe 10 minutes but the table was dirty when we sat down and they took a minute to get service but that’s because they were so busy and they thought that we had already been served because of the dirty place that were on our table but they apologize for the inconvenience and the service was amazing the salad bar was much not to be desired it was very very small and had to wait on lettuce to be filled but like I said they were super busy at this time it’s obviously a great place because it’s been there so long and our waitress ran out the door to give my aunt her debit card that she had dropped on the ground also hour to go play we had left on the table to that waitress I say thank you so very much for being so kind this is a place I would recommend for people to come and eat it is kid friendly as well so if you’re ever in this area make sure you visit this Diner will definitely be back if we’re in the area

WOW have been eating here for years but went this morning for breakfast yuck . I won’t waste my money again over priced. Lack of taste, served cold, should I go on. Biscuits taste like they are cheap frozen ones have no taste. Chicken was bland, steak was a store bought pretty breaded disgusting thing, and couldn’t even stand the sausage biscuit cause it was completely cold not warm a bit. Save your money go down to the jet gas station their Biscuits aren’t much better but they are cheaper.

This family run favorite has been in business for a long time and is loved by many. They offer breakfast, lunch, and supper is an otherwise sleepy town without dining choices, so they do get busy at peak hours. The food is good country cooking, but you may want to get in a little early before the crowd comes.

Food is good but portion sizes absolutely SUCK for the prices. $15 for 2 paper thin pork chops, couple of vegetables, and a water…. Better off going to gas station down the road.
