Mac Chan Thai Cuisine is my family’s go-to restaurant. It’s the best Thai restaurant in Forest Hills. Today I had three dishes: Branzino Sweet Chilli Sauce, Premium Crispy Pork Belly, and Chicken Dumpling. Everything was delicious and I loved it. We will definitely be back. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend everyone try it.

First, the good. The service is very good. They are very kind and accommodating.
I had the Massaman curry dish with slow cooked beef. It was tasty with the exception of there being ENORMOUS amounts of cinnamon. Too much cinnamon! Then it appears the cinnamon broke down and there were bits in the stew such that I had to fish out these pieces. Other than this, it was good. The other plates in our party were good, not great apparently. The true rating here is maybe a 4.5…
Will return but will ask that they tone down the aromatic spices.

Today, I had their drunken noodle and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had! I had it with tofu and vegetables. Can’t wait to go back and try the chicken/pork option.

This restaurant was not crowded and the service was wonderful. Food was overall good the noodles were a little too sweet but everything else was top notch. They were very attentive throughout our whole stay.
Appetizer and drinks:
We tried “Money bags”, 4 crunchy chicken like dumplings with mixed vegetables and it was amazing with sweet sauce. ($10.90)
For drinks I had Thai Iced Tea ($4.50) which was good although it tasted slightly watered down.
My friend just had a sprite ($3.00)
Our entree:
I Tried the chicken pad Thai ($15.90), a skinny sweet noodle with delicious chicken, nuts, and topped off with a fried egg. My friend tried the Chicken Crispy Pad Thai ($15.90), A crispy noodle with some similar components except the nuts and egg.
Overall we loved the food and how kind our server was. The place is inexpensive and we ended up spending only $54.68 for the two of us.

I love Thai food, and this place was fantastic with reasonable prices and excellent service. Since it’s their new location, we got an extra 20% off our bill, which was a nice bonus! The slow-cooked beef was my favorite, though the duck was delicious too. The tea was really refreshing as well. Can’t wait to visit again soon! ☺️

Ordered on Uber Eats- there was a cockroach in the Tom Yum Soup.
Edit: A week later and we’ve heard nothing from the business. They’re commenting on other people’s reviews so it seems they do know English. When we called to report the cockroach they pretended not to know what we were saying. This is disgusting and disgraceful. I have made sure they are reported to the health department. I doubt they’ll be open for much longer.

Came for lunch and loved every second of it! It was full on a weekend for lunch, so make reservations if you can. The noodles were flavorful and delicious – not oily or dry and had way more veggies in the dish that I was so happy about! The real star was Paul – he is the kindest and most sweet person that works there. He went out of his way to offer different ways to split our bill, came prepared with boxes for takeout, and has the best energy (give him a raise and everything he asks for!!). Will definitely be back and hope we get to see Paul again sometime soon ♥️
