I was waiting for any South Indian restaurant which serve Veg thali in their menu and this restaurant serves thali on weekend’s with large variety of dishes in one plate and at affordable price. They have other vegetarian options also in weekend combos like biryani and dosa, idli and vada combo. Ambience is great , staff always welcoming and food . Waiting to try their Paratha with other gravies someday.

We love checking out locally owned restaurants! Super impressed by the beautiful aesthetic of Madurai – we were just looking for a quick thali and instead found ourselves transported for a nice lunch break. Very quick service, seamless seating, to ordering to food arrival. We had multiple staff stop by to check on our experience in the perfect timings! Congratulations to their new location open in in Mackenzie! We had the weekend combo which was a perfect balance of textures and flavours from sweet to spicy, would recommend for sure !

It took us a while to discover this place in Calgary, but now we keep coming back. One of the most authentic South Indian restaurants we have tried. Lots of combo options to chose from specially for Dosa and Biryani lovers, and everything we have ordered so far has been spot on. Food is consistently delicious, service is quick, ambience is serene, and overall vibe of the place is positive. Rasam and Garlic Fish is a must try! Looking forward to their second location opening in SE!

What a gem of a place! Our first time and honestly one of the best South Indian food we have had. We had the mango lassi, the vegetable biryani combo, dosa combo and cauliflower 65. Everything was done to perfection. The idli in the combo was so fresh and soft! The combos are great value! Will definitely be coming back again.

Dined in on a Friday evening. We were lucky that they had openings for walk ins but reservation is recommended. Ordered dosa combo with idli, idli vada and Kizhi porotta. All items were freshly prepared and tasted really good! The staff were very friendly and kept checking on us on the food quality. Would definitely recommend.

I couldn’t resist myself to review here right after I eat . Just from the table itself . Everything is so perfect here the place , people and food . We are from Toronto (place of all cuisine ) and first time in Calgary . All the food we tasted here is super delicious and I thank my stars showing this place after the travel with a sick child . Thank you for providing delicious food and service . We love it and refer everyone around . Combo is good choice with variety of options with egg,65, Briyani and to top it a filter coffee . Quantity is pretty decent too. Kudos to Maria here super sweet in receiving not to mention others as well .

Upon arrival, I was offered a complimentary welcome drink called Madurai Panakam, a delightful blend of black pepper, cardamom, dry ginger, jaggery, and water. It was both refreshing and unique. The ambiance is elegant and impeccably clean, creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. The staff members are warm and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Prices lean toward the higher side, but the quality makes it absolutely worthwhile. I will certainly return.

For now I will give this 3.5⭐️ for the butter chicken via delivery order. The gravy of it is velvety but I can see the layer and specs of oil. The pieces of chicken were tender, but there were around only 3 pieces of it and the rest of it was gravy. The parrota was flaky and slightly crispy!
