I was visiting in town from Cali and friends had invited me to Madres. They had ordered Pozole and it was a mistake of a lifetime. Three minuscule (little bite-size) pieces with all the hominy balls in the world. Devastating to feed a Phat Gurl on a Skinny Diet; I didn’t have to Floss bc I was given such four pieces of “Pork”. Had no idea how Spicy this meal was it whatever you call it! And I had asked for lemon wedges to neutralize this disgusting piece of a meal, but even their wedges were dry. It was like Breastfeeding an infant with mama’s “Dried” Milk! Not even a Squirt of Citrus! There must’ve been a Sale at the Farmer’s market w/ Limeless juice? I guess it’s Welcome to Texas for me on Another Level … Madres 2.0

Not bad for a mom-and-pop place but the place could improve on a few items to become bigger and have a bigger location. My wife didn’t like the Carne Asada, had more fat than usual for that type of meal and the texture was off. The queso had a few items in it to throw off the taste, like the onion. The chicken I had wasn’t bad but could have been a little better. My beans were almost nonexistent for my chicken fajita meal. Soda was almost a little flat and the service was feeling slightly rushed after getting food and ordering food.

Wife picked me up food from this establishment. Beef chimichanga was fried to perfection and the beef was well seasoned. The borracho beans were on point as was the rice and customer service. Highly recommended if You are in the area. The chips were crispy and the salsa had great flavor.

Definitely coming back, the food is excellent with great flavor. I ordered their fajita (chicken) and it did not disappoint. My daughter ordered the Chili Relleno and I had to have some, when I say delicious… I can go on and on. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. Almost forgot, the potions are more than enough, so get ready to take some home. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Madres Cocina is a cozy strip mall mom-and-pop establishment. We went for lunch and were promptly seated. The general dining are was neat and clean. You do have to pass through utility areas to get to restrooms.

The service was prompt and attentive. We never lacked for anything. The chips and salsa were pretty good, as was their white queso. The food in general was pretty decent and the lunch menu a good value. I would have liked a little more kick to the seasonings, but I love spicey.

Food is usually good, but today I was told my pick up order would be ready in 20 minutes or so and I have been waiting for over 45 minutes total, including the 20 minutes I had to wait once I got up to the restaurant……

Literally 2 bites of refried beans, my enchiladas were unrolled, I think the picture speaks for itself. Very unsatisfied.

Not just a place to eat, but a family. I’ve spent every birthday, promotion, celebration here, our rehearsal dinner was here. Best Tex-Mex around, and local. We always leave full and happy!

I had a horrible experience with a server in this place. It was the first time I was there and the waitress was beyond rude to us just because we were asking normal questions and then she acted like we were complaining and she got mad out of nowhere. We paid and left with our food untouched. Also I never had menudo and chiles rellenos without tortillas, I’d say take your money somewhere where they are nice to their customers and where they serve complete meals. This is a Tex mex restaurant so don’t go there thinking is good mexican food.
NEVER AGAIN.
