5/5 ⭐️ We went for lunch and had the incredible luck of being the only patrons during a heavy rain shower. The food was absolutely exquisitely plated and prepared. Everything was cooked to perfection, the salmon melted in my mouth. We had EXCELLENT service and we enjoyed how spotlessly clean and beautiful the entire restaurant was. Even the bathrooms were beautiful and clean. We loved our lunch so much, we are returning for dinner tonight (we’re on a weekend vacation at a resort). Run, don’t walk!

We got the ceviche and chips and salsa to start. The ceviche was on the sweeter side with a tomato base but both were good
We got the shrimp tacos and steak enchilada for the main. The layers of flavor were amazing and everything was cooked to perfection.

Gorgeous New Latin American Restaurant
We stopped in to the new Madre Social Kitchen & Bar,a new Latin American restaurant, located mid-island Fresh Market Shoppes on Hilton Head to check it out. Wow. Gorgeous posh interior and decor with very friendly staff. Madre has been opened since March and is already a hit with HHI locals and visitors. Our 35-year resident HHI friend told us about how wonderful Madre is and to stop in.
We stopped in this early afternoon for three delicious Margarita’s (Madre, Spicy, and Pomegranate ) from the very welcoming manager. Madre is the third restaurant opened by the owners; Wren in Beaufort, and Jane Bistro and Bar in Shelter Cover. Their newest concept is sure to be a success.
We were so delighted with the friendly staff and bright posh interior that we made two dinner reservations on the spot.
Can’t wait to sample their dinner menu.

Excellent food. I had the green chili shrimp enchiladas and would absolutely order again. Everything tasted fresh and had wonderful flavor. Love the atmosphere and our server was great. He was very friendly! I can’t wait to come back.

We just discovered this fabulous, new-to-us restaurant in the plaza where Fresh Market is located. Opening the door to check it out, we were immediately dazzled by the inviting, bright decor…relaxing, open, and serene…so, decided to have a late lunch.
The menu focuses on tapas, salads, soup, and tacos – with descriptions indicating the preparations are innovative and interesting. We ordered Camarones Ajo (spicy shrimp tapa) and Pescado Tacos (crispy fish) – both outstanding, flavorful dishes that are beautifully presented. This chef knows what he/she is doing, using a perfect blend of well-balanced spices in creative ways. We especially enjoyed the cilantro lime cream sauce, so much so… that we requested more to use on our salads.
Adding to our memorable dining experience was our attentive, knowledgeable server, Jimmy, whose calm disposition and personalized assistance made us feel valued and enhanced our visit to Madre. We will be back soon!

What a great experience today, food was outstanding, vibe on the interior was terrific and service was great. We have tried many Latin/Mexican restaurants in Hilton Head and this one has our vote on future visits! Sister restaurant to Jane Bistro which is one of our favorites too!
