ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Indian buffet for $14! Quaint in size but packed with flavor! They also have a nice selection you can order off the menu as well. Perfect for everyone! For those with dietary/religious restrictions–everything is all vegetarian/vegan! For you meat-lovers, the food is so flavorful and hearty you don’t even miss it! The staff was super friendly and attentive. Their version of the “endless chips” or “bread basket” is their hot & fresh-made Dosa The ONLY thing I have to say negative about it which isn’t even “negative”, is I wish the buffet was bigger–but then again, that’s just my big-portioned, American mentality lol. Everything was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

Vegan Heaven!! They have a buffet on Weekdays which is very uncommon for Indian restaurants but influenced us to come here. Good choice! Staff is friendly, they play good music, and the food is incredible!! My favorite part is they served us complimentary stuffed dosas right to our table. You are cheating yourself if you eat anywhere else. Go try madras

Truly enjoyed my dining experience here. Was on my way home from Orlando. Looked for a restaurant and this one had amazing reviews on google maps and it wasn’t surprising why.

Had a bit of a trouble finding it as they didn’t have a signboard outside the restaurant. Dominic and Swapnil, our hosts later told us that they had just reopened after the pandemic and were working hard to get things in order. They were just amzing hosts, extremely friendly and hospitable. They made our dining experience extremely pleasant. The restaurant has a large space and can with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. They can host large gatherings, too.

The menu is pretty expansive and has almost all the traditional south Indian dishes including our favorite doshas and also a range of indo-chinese fusion dishes. We ordered the Bahubali Thali, a combo of various dishes. I had expected the wait time would be pretty significant considering the variety of sides in the combo but I was amply surprised by the short wait time. The dish looked magnificent on the big platter and it tasted even better. The bhaturas were fluffy anf tasted amazing. The idli sambhar was just absolutely beautiful. We really liked the samosa and the paneer and the chana masala. The mint chutney was great, too. The dosha I felt could have been better. It also came with two chef special desserts, lalmohans and the madras special Payasam, which was great. It was cooked in milk and had cashews and tasted beautiful. The meal ended with a nice cup of masala tea. It was raining outside and I still had a three hours drive ahead of me. It was exactly what I needed.

I highly recommend this place and would love to go back and try other foods on the menu. Swapnil and Dominic were outstanding hosts.

What a treat to have such an amazing Southern Indian Cuisine restaurant in Ocala! We have been twice, and will be going back at least once a week! The staff are friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. Clean environment, fun Indian music in the background…..Now for the best part…THE FOOD! INCREDIBLE! On our first visit we ordered the Pani Puri, which are puffed crackers stuffed with potato and spices. Then you pour the “Spicy Tangy Water” inside and eat it all in one bite! FLAVOR EXPLOSION that I did not expect! We also ordered the Methi Malai Mutter, which is Fenugreek leaves with herbs, spices, peas, in a creamy curry with a side of rice! Best curry i’ve had in a very long time! Today we ordered a Masala Dosa! WOW! Lentil and rice massive crepe stuffed with a spiced mix of potatoes and onions! It came with Sambar and a Coconut Chutney, both filled with distinct Indian flavor! We also ordered the Vegetable Korma, which I have never had before and I was pleasantly surprised! Veg with Indian spices, Cashew Paste, and Coconut Milk to make it oh so creamy! Truly a place everyone needs to try at least once…and I promise you’ll go back for more!Update: Added photos of the Onion Bajhi and the Hot and Sour Indo Chinese soup! Update on another visit! Had the Triple Schezwan Sizzler which is Fried rice, soft noodles, crispy noodles and mix veggies cooked in spicy schezwan sauce! WOW! Indo-Chinese dish that was a textural and spicy experience! Plenty of food for 3! Pic added!

What a great surprise! Unexpectedly in a large mall, this vegan/vegetarian Indian restaurant has plenty of space and booths in addition to some tables. The menu is filled with authentic dishes like dosas and thali, which was out choice since not so easy to find. What a feast of flavors! We enjoyed every bite! Just like in India, without the 24 hour flight! Highly recommended. We will be back.

This new Ocala gem recently opened. About 85% of the menu is vegan. This is about the only primarily vegan restaurant in Ocala. Service and food quality and taste was amazing. If you like Gobi Manchurian and Paneer Bhurji, I’d definitely recommend both! I’m looking forward to trying the buffet.

Casual place with pleasant service provided by Francis & Sewant (messed up). Will correct at next visit.

Less expensive than the old Amrit Palace that is rather elegant inside, but you may have to mortgage your house!

Dosas, are actually a South Indian famous dish, not the best descriptive word, because it’s quite a meal all by itself!

Madras, is the old name for a very major city toward the South of India, and is famous for Dosas. Thus, this Madras Cafe, is a very appropriate name!!

Dosas are vegetarian! At least originally!

It takes a very experienced hand to make the outer “skin”, it’s delicate-kinda-crusty shell of rice and lentils and can take 2-3 days to properly prepare this dough.

Our “guest” was picking up our tab! He insisted, though I had secretly given my credit card to our terrific server! This guest turned out to be our Host!!☺️

Therefore I was reluctant to order more dishes.

My wife and I will definitely be going back, Lord willing, even though my wife is a first-generation authentic Mexican from Mexico! Lol!

Be looking for more pics when we re-visit with more friends in December!
