My family and I had one of the worst breakfast buffet experiences here, and I genuinely feel it’s important for others to know before spending their money.

The website creates a lot of hype, but the reality is completely opposite. The food was cold, the spread was extremely limited, and even the few items available were not refilled on time. We had to wait repeatedly for basic dishes and chutneys sambar was like rasam and the dosa was like a papad of vinegar taste that much sour and the poori too was like a papad and the masala with no salt, kesari was the nightmare just like a mud , and when we asked the staff, the response was simply that they were “busy”—even though there were only a handful of people seated. It was nowhere close to being busy.

For comparison, places like Crispy Dosa in Reading offer an excellent breakfast buffet with great value for money. This restaurant doesn’t even come close.

For £25 for two adults and a child ,the quality and quantity were unacceptable. It felt like a complete waste of money.

I strongly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your time, save your money, and choose a place that actually delivers what it promises.

Fiancé and mother-in-law got this for tea whilst we had something else. We were running late to pick up the meal, as the second place we ordered from took a while. They were really understanding and did not mind. They said it was nice food, but rather spicier than anticipated! Initially thought that there were green beans on the chicken jalfrezi… turns out they were chillies!! Quite nice but as i said, an unexpected chilli may put you off the food. If you’re a poppadom fan, remember that 1 poppadom is actually 2. Save your money folks!

We had a takeaway from Madras, 2nd time..we are overwhelmed with the quality of the food. The ingredients, the quality, freshness.. it’s something new and outstanding. It’s not even close to any other Indian takeaway. It feels like was cooked in our kitchen just now. So fresh, quality and taste from the rice to the main meal all cooked fresh and full of flavour and taste..The best ever takeaway for deck age. Please keep up with freshness.. really enjoyed it❤️

I went to Madras Bristol and honestly loved the whole experience. The place feels really cozy and chill — the kind of restaurant where you instantly feel relaxed. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and it just puts you in a good mood.

The food was seriously good. Everything tasted fresh and had so much flavour. You can tell they take their time with the dishes, and it really shows.

I also want to highlight Gayathri, who took care of us. She was so friendly and easy to talk to. She checked on us nicely, helped us with recommendations, and made us feel really welcomed. Her service added such a nice touch to the evening.

Overall, it was a great visit — good food, good vibe, and really lovely service. I’ll definitely be going back.

I love this place, especially there idly with fish curry it just brings back the taste of home. Gayathri working there is amazing with her service. I also love their dosa and mutton curry. One of the best South Indian dishes I had in Bristol for reasonable price.

I have been there twice in two weeks. It is one of the best places in Bristol for Indian cuisine, to be more precise the South Indian cuisine. Mutton chukka is a must try one. The service was also so good and friendly. I’ve become a fan of their combos.

I went to Madras Calling to pick up my order. I called them beforehand, and they answered and told me to come to take the order. It took more than 10 minutes, and no one talked to me. By the time I reached, my call was still not answered. When I went to the counter to order food, I could see that my call was still not answered phone kept a side, and they cut the call right in front of me when I was there to order. disrespectful

This really pissed me off — where is the respect for customers? The issue is that my wife and baby are sick, and that’s why I tried to order before arriving to save time. But this kind of service is unacceptable. The food is always nice, and that’s why my wife asked for it even though she’s not well. And I wait more than 40 min after

But this behavior is not acceptable

Ordered here for a collection takeaway for something a bit different as not usually one for a curry. All the dishes were so packed full of flavour and genuinely delicious. Will certainly be returning and recommending!

Ordered a take away chicken madras biryani, and it’s possibly the worst Indian meal I’ve ever had. Three bits of chicken, all on the bone which was grey in colour. Tiny pot of madras sauce, which barely covered a tenth of the rice. The naan bread was also very salty and not cooked properly. I would not recommend this place based on this dish.
