We usually come here on a lunch date or date night. I love the waitstaff here they are all friendly and we usually have good conversations about music or anime. The food is very delicious and the portions are generous. The teriyaki wings and blue cheese, pretzel and fries are favorite apps. We also like the fish and chips, shepherds pie (please don’t stir it it’s best enjoyed each layer separately together) and corned beef & cabbage with mashed potatoes.

One of the few Irish pubs I’ve been to with multiple fish/seafood dishes besides “fish and chips”. Cozy environment with a traditional pub feel.
The times I’ve been have been on off nights when they’re relatively slow and have been easy for conversation.
This location doesn’t seem to have as much entertainment selections as the North Charleston location.

Excellent …except not able to order Reuben during weekend brunch???!!!??? I understand it’s not in 100% Irish food but many Irish Americans have it as part of their staples from their grandparents when coming over. Just not sure why you can’t sell it at 12 o’clock, but can sell it at 2? It won’t stop me from not coming back. I really enjoyed the place. It was clean super clean. Service was great and the food was delicious. I just really wanted to try the Reuben since it was my first time there.

The atmosphere inside is really cool. The waiter I had was very friendly. I sampled a few beers until I found one I liked. The shepherd’s pie was incredible as well as the chocolate peanut butter cake. There are lots of cozy corners. There are darts. Everyone seems very friendly. 5 STARS

We had a very large group tonight at least 25-30 people. Our head server was May assisted by Gordon. The food was typical pub food very good no complaints. Love the wings with the ranch dressing. Drinks were generous service was OUTSTANDING Especially considering the size of our group split between two rooms. Thank you to our servers for making things run smooth and to the pub for being open on a Sunday and accommodating our large group.! We’ll see you again soon!

What a great pub! Service was beyond 5 stars. The food was really good. Their homemade mustard is to die for! They best part for me was the fries. Just like being at the fair!! This is a must go to for the food, drinks and just absolutely great service.

A very legit Irish pub in what feels a bit more like a roadhouse when you walk up to it. Don’t be dissuaded…if you want a good Irish stew and a Guinness (or similar) this is definitely where you want to be.

I have been @Madra Rua twice. I like the atmosphere. It is relatively quiet–no loud music, it’s a calm, quiet atmosphere. Nice variety of draught and bottled beer. The food is ok, I ate at my first visit.

The grits were amazing! Everyone enjoyed their food.
Except….
The shrimp and grits can be removed from the menu. Its literally a whole pot of cheese grits In a plate with 5 grilled shrimp. Nothing special. No gravy, no onions, no peppers, no nothing else. Very different but good.
