We’ve been coming to the OBX for decades and have always been on the search for great pizza. I can’t tell you how many different ones we’ve tried with varying levels of success.
I know everyone has their own taste in pizza, but I can tell you Madisons Pizza is the best we have had, and our new go to pizza.
Sauce was great, toppings were fresh and plentiful, and the crust did great on the ride home (not soggy like some others). Great cold the next day too.
I got sausage, red peppers, and onions. My wife got a margarita pizza, but subbed out the red sauce for butter garlic sauce with tomato slices baked in. Both pizzas were outstanding.
The person who helped me (may have been the owner) was very friendly, and based on talking with him, you could tell he really cares about his product.
You may not like it as much as we did, but definitely worth giving it a shot.

If you like crisp, delicious pizza crust, topped with quality ingredients, Madison’s will be your happy place. Our large pie with pepperoni, sausage and green peppers was perfectly prepared and still piping hot when we got it back to the house. It helps to call in your order as the owner gets busy and the wait can be a bit long. But, soooo worth it!

Update: Rating update after the unnecessary and frankly rude response from the owner. As good as the pizza is, may not be back.
The pizza was really good. Not a place where you can dine in and the atmosphere was fairly basic. Prices were reasonable but no specials. A 1-toppings was $19.40 with tax…a bit higher than a National chain. Recommend offering a few appetizer options like garlic rolls or cheese sticks.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PIZZA IN OBX. The crust was perfect and the topping were generous. The honey hot honey wings are the bomb. The owner was very pleasant and easy to talk to. We have definitely found our new favorite pizza place. Thank you!

Pizza was amazing! Happened upon this place on accident while on vacation. We had decided we wanted pizza for supper our last night, and this place was in the shopping center we were already in. Walked in and the guy making the pizzas was running the place all by himself. Told us up front it would be at least an hour. After watching him make a few pizzas while we were talking with him, we decided it was worth the wait. And it was! Pizza was amazing!!

Maybe the best pizza I’ve had at the beach. The crust is thin and crispy, toppings are plentiful, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. Let me tell you about the wings though, they totally stole the show, and that’s not a knock on the pizza because it was all delicious. The wings were huge, crispy, and sauced to perfection. We got the an order of Buffalo and an order of Sweet and Spicy. I totally wasn’t expecting wings from a pizza place to be this good. The price can’t be beat either. $55 for two large pies and two orders of wings. What a deal! This dude is cranking out some awesome food and Madison’s will be our go to pizza spot every time we come back to the beach.

I’ve been going to the Outer Banks for over a decade. This is the first time that I’ve stopped and got pizza at Madison’s based on the reviews you can have mixed emotions, but that’s what brought me to the establishment, but it is the food that is going to bring me back as well as the owner. This is a one man operation and if you look at the menu, it is very expensive for one person. The owner is a new nonsense type of guy and I appreciate that if you were looking for pizza whether you’re going home or staying in the OBX, this is a place that you need to try [Order over the phone. I was given a time of 30 minutes. I arrived, before 30 minutes in my peace and wings were done. The pizza was crispy and full of flavor and the wings were done to perfection. Great job. Keep up the good work. I’ll be back.

My friend I and her family are down here for the weekend. we all live in Virginia. we ordered the Primo pizza which was possibly the best pizza I have ever had!! we loved it. The owner was friendly and very personable describing his strong work ethic . If his pizza was a reflection on that he was definitely true to his word. would highly recommend this Pizza place to anyone who appreciates good service and great Pizza!!!
